Incredibly charming and spacious

4 of 5
We stayed for 4 nights at Kurt and Camilla's garden apartment below their brownstone. Kurt was very responsive prior to our arrival and even asked us what we like to drink and eat for breakfast so he could have the kitchen stocked. We are a family of 5 and we were traveling with our dog to visit our daughter who lives in Harlem. Kurt was wonderful to allow our sweet pup to stay. Their backyard (which you can see in the pictures) was just divine and is a very unusual find in NY! We would definitely come back. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the lack of air conditioning. There were plenty of fans but my family can be a little wimpy with the humidity. They adjusted fine but were a little hot on our first night since it was an unusually humid day. One other thing to note is that we had a car (SUV) since we drove out from the Midwest. We were able to find parking on the street which is another rarity. The apartment is close to the subway so you by no means need a car. In fact, I would definitely discourage anyone from having a car in NY!
