  • Beautiful lake view!

"Lori's place was as advertised and provided a great lakefront view of Lake Ontario. Although Niagara Falls is advertised as 50 minutes away, it's more like an hour border wait time so be aware. The good news is that the drive is essentially traffic-free and takes you over the much less crowded Queenston Bridge (vs. the Rainbow Bridge)."

  • Beautiful, peaceful & clean cottage. Amazing view of the lake with great private area for swimming.

"This property was exactly what we were looking for a quiet family get-away! The cottage was perfect in size, plenty of room for our family of five (2 adults & 3 teens). The kitchen was stocked with anything you could possibly need to make meals...blender, toaster, plenty of utensils, microwave, etc. Full size fridg too! There was plenty of room to kick back and relax inside and outside. The fire pit was a hit with everyone, so nice having it so close to the lake. I gave it five stars because it was everything the owner had said it was, and it was clean. Our only suggestion would be to have an AC unit in there for those really hot and humid nights that upper NY gets maybe for two weeks every summer...meaning 90 degree plus and lots of humidity....even though plenty of fans were provided...nothing could cool that cottage down, and it made for very uncomfortable sleeping and lots of bugs. I think an AC just for those times is absolutely necessary for a good nights, especially on vacation. However, the description made it clear that there was no AC, and it was nice that the owner provided numerous fans for each room. And we would definitely rent the cottage again in the future and recommend it to friends and family."

  • The perfect vacation rental!!

"The house had a really comfortable layout, very clean and spacious. The best and most surprising part was the swimming. From the photos, we weren't sure how the swimming would be (previous reviews did say it was great, but we have rented homes where we have read similar types of reviews and were a little disappointed). The kids LOVED the swimming, they could go out so far, it was safe and very clean. Water shoes are a must, as they would be anywhere on the lake. The fishing was awesome and we enjoyed the fire pit. Back to the house, there were so many provisions that we did not expect. There were more towels than we could have begun to imagine. The kitchen could not have been more stocked with every dish/pot/appliance imaginable. The rooms were immaculate. We stayed during a heat wave and the air conditioning downstairs kept us very comfortable. And then there are all the Amish produce stands. The Amish were so friendly and their food was out of this world (had to bring as much back to Connecticut as we could fit!!). We highly recommend this home and would love to rent it in the future!!"

  • Charming indeed!

"Prior to booking this cottage, I was looking for a quiet, relaxing place on the lake to rent. Our goal was to visit Niagara Falls State Park, however, I did not want to stay by the falls or in Buffalo. This is a beautiful cottage right along the shore of Lake Ontario. It is about 50 minutes from the Falls, but a very nice drive along the lake. It was extremely hot, so after spending all day at the falls, a quick dip in the lake was wonderful along with the beautiful sunsets. There is no air conditioning (which we knew) so the cottage was warm, but there are plenty of fans. The cottage is comfortable and is well stocked with everything you need to cook with. We were hoping to cook out on the grill once we arrived, however, there was no charcoal to cook with. That was the only issue we had. Otherwise, it is clean, spacious, plenty of towels, has a nice covered back deck. Perfect place to relax, drink your morning coffee, watch the waves, watch the spectacular sunsets. Nice size yard leading down to the water. There was no ladder, but there was no issue getting into the water. I would definitely recommend this rental. I brought my adult children with me and my son's dog. I am hoping to return again next time we visit this area. Thank you, Lori for your prompt reply to our inquiry and we loved your cottage!
