  • A warm and welcoming place

"This cottage has it all ... and something for everyone. It's spacious, well-kept, and very comfortable. Every time we thought, "It would be nice to have ... " that item seemed to appear. Having access to the bikes and kayaks was wonderful, and it was great to have the grill out back. The owners have gone out of their way to make each of the bedrooms cozy -- and the terrycloth robes are a luxurious touch."

  • Wonderful Get Away!

"The cottage is right on the St. Lawrence River on a quiet alcove in Blind Bay. Watching ships from around the world go by, enjoying wild life in the area, kayaking... what could be better? It is close to Alexandria Bay and Ogdensburg (NY) or Brockville (CA) for restaurants or if you need to shop for food or supplies. About an hour and a half to Ottawa for a great day trip. Gary and Patty hire someone to clean the cottage between visitors, which I so appreciate. Nothing worse than entering a place for vacation and having to spend hours cleaning up from the last occupants, or ending vacation by having to clean. Thanks again for a great week - location, view, clean, kayaks!"

  • Perfect

"Our family stayed at the cottage for a week. All was perfect. We had a family reunion on the island and had families staying in other cottages and while each family member loved the uniqueness of his or her own cottage, all said ours was PERFECT and were a bit envious!"

  • Great family vacation lodging

"We just returned home after a week at Atwell-Wild Cottage and enjoyed it very much. The cottage comfortably accommodated our party of nine, including grandparents, siblings, spouses, and kids. Well-equipped kitchen, lounging and dining areas, plus plenty of nooks for quiet reading or napping, both outdoors and inside. Amenities as listed, convenient walking distance to the TIP library, playground, and activities. Our biggest challenge was the hot weather; even with ceiling fans, we needed a few extra fans to cool the upstairs bedrooms at night. The owner was responsive to all questions and issues, before and during our stay. Would highly recommend this property, especially for extended family groups."
