  • A beautiful and peaceful getaway!

"I have been going to this house every summer for the past couple of years. The scenery is beautiful whether you're peering out at the many private acres from the deck of the house or from the dock at the lake. There are tons of different activities such as fishing, swimming, and boating. Make sure to bring some hot dogs or hamburgers to grill at the lake and some marshmallows for some late night s'mores! It's a great way to get away to somewhere quiet, peaceful, and private. The owners/family are incredibly friendly and very welcoming. It's a perfect fit for any age and I highly recommend!"

  • Really is a home away

"Our family used to live in East Concord and moved to Charlotte, NC about 5 years ago. We selected this property based on the location and it really was perfect with Sprague Brook Park right in the back yard (almost). We were very impressed with the neighborhood also. We (family of 3) stayed for 11 days and during our vacation, the neighborhood had a family movie night which was wonderful and the residents were all very nice. Its the kind of place where everyone waves and welcomes you. Also, the neighbor is a sheriff so that added an extra level of comfort. We really enjoyed sitting on the back deck listening to the birds and star gazing as well as our nightly walks through the neighborhood. The chalet was very nice with lots of natural light and nicely decorated. Everything that you think you might need was there - from cotton balls to a fondue maker! The place was very well organized (even gave me some ideas of my own) and great use of space. It's much larger than it appears. The owner was very responsive to my emails leading up to our visit and provided her cell phone so we could text her with any questions during our stay. She even left us a couple mountain bikes and tennis rackets/balls. We did have a couple suggestions which we left for the owner, but they were nothing that would stop us from staying here again. Staying here we did not feel like we were in someone else's house, it was as comfortable as our own (maybe even a little more). I highly recommend this chalet and it will be our go-to rental whenever we come back home to visit. If you are looking for a family oriented setting or a nature lovers hideout, this is definitely it - safe, quiet, beautiful, and lots to do (both in the neighborhood and the park)."

  • 99CAT was perfect for our family vacation

"We had a great time staying at 99CAT. The house was beautiful, very clean, great location. We really appreciated Lynn letting us know that the prior tenants were leaving early and we were able to get in early; since we had 3 couples coming in at different times this was very helpful. Hope to stay again on a future vacation."

  • Perfect for a weekend escape from the city!

"A charming little cabin! For a private house all to yourself, less than 2 miles from the village, you can't find anything better. The house was clean, up to date and only a short walk to the water. The screened in porch was used almost every night. My wife and I were able to still sit outside, but stay away from the bugs. We can't wait to come back this fall with the dog!"
