  • Fantastic!

"My husband and I plus our two dogs stayed at this rental for a week this October. The location was wonderful, high enough up the mountain to get excellent views, but not so high as to worry about making it up there! The proximity to downtown Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway, NC Arboretum, Black Mountain, Highland Brewing Company, everything we were interested in doing was only 15-20 minutes away. It is also close to the Western NC nature center, and the Folk Art Center of the Southern Highlands Guild. Really can't say how fantastic the location was, we felt like we were "away from it all" but the grocery store, gas station, and entertainment was closer than expected. The owners were very quick in responding to e mails, also a couple of times during our stay we called with questions and they shockingly always answered the phone right away, it never went to voicemail once. The rental has a wonderful fire pit, well equipped kitchen, everything was clean and comfortable. A really neat spiralstaircase to get into the upstairs loft. Beautiful hardwood floors, poured and polished concrete counter tops, a spacious master bath. Laundry room, everything one could need. We will definitely be back!"

  • Great place at a great cost!

"This was a delightful little home we stayed in. Plenty of room for 6 adults. Clean, spacious, had all the amenities we needed - including a coffee maker AND coffee. The back porch had spectacular views and we spent every morning and evening out there enjoying being outdoors. The hot tub was a great perk! The driveway is incredibly steep and the tires spun a few times so we ended up parking on the road instead, which is narrow and windy so that was the only downside. Yes, there is a gentleman who lives downstairs but we only saw him once entering his basement apartment from the driveway and he was very friendly. Never even knew when he was there otherwise. George was very friendly and super responsive too, calling me almost immediately when I emailed him with a question before booking the home. Overall this place was a great location (just over a mile to downtown), a great price, and a great view. I would definitely recommend, and I would stay there again if I'm ever back in Asheville."

  • Amazing Views in a Perfect Spot

"Usually I look forward to mostly the food in Asheville, but this time we were anticipating staying in this home as well! We were deciding between staying downtown in a small loft or this home where we were close enough to downtown, but had plenty of space for 5 adults. There is so much detail and design that went into this home that I would love to hear the story behind it all. Easy to find from downtown and probably could walk it. Very spacious living and dining areas and well equipped kitchen. One bedroom upstairs and two downstairs -- all with a view of downtown and the mountains and excellent bedding and linens. Owner is very helpful and responsive (had an internet issue of which he looked into immediately). What an experience to enjoy this place for a few days -- thank you for sharing your home with us!"
