  • Very beautiful views of the NC mountains!

"Very impressed. Great value! The hot tub was comfortable for 4 people and the wrap around deck came in handy. Great location on top of beech. We visited elk river falls and laurel falls both within a few minutes from the bottom of the miuntain. We also went tubing through Highland tours in Boone. Fred's was right down the street for all out needs. I will highly recommend this property for making memories with friends. Thanks Chris!"

  • Celebrating Mom's Birthday

"This was the perfect place for our family reunion. Lots of space, well stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, and lots of beds. The homeowner was very responsive to both email and by phone. There are lots of trails with varying degrees of length and difficulty for everyone to enjoy or you can enjoy the peace and quiet at the cabin. Verizon cellular service was available virtually everywhere. Basically no ATT service on the mountain. No wifi at the cabin however the recreation center just a mile away has free wifi access plus maps and lots of great advice. We will definitely consider staying at this home away from home again."

  • Beautiful house in a fantastic location

"We have been staying at Bridget's for the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games for several years. She has been continually upgrading it inside, turning it into a real gem with beautiful hardwood floors, a huge stone fireplace, new black kitchen counters added this year, and many fine details. Everything is in excellent condition. The house is situated at the corner of two quiet dirt roads, overlooking a mountain stream. It is sheltered and cool in summer and close to recreational facilities and the town center of Beech Mountain, with its restaurants and other facilities. It has four bedrooms, sleeping eight. Downstairs if you open a window you can sleep to the sound of the brook. It also has balconies on two levels overlooking the stream with ornamental iron tables and chairs for breakfast Al fresco."

  • Wonderful mountain house!

"We had a great weekend at this property! The house is spacious and comfortable, and has all the things you want but don't think of in advance. And the setting is beautiful - we saw lots of deer!"
