  • Family Fun

"We had a lovely time at the Laurel Ridge property over the 4th of July. The house was well-stocked with sheets, towels and blankets and had a well-equipped kitchen. The covered back porch was extremely pleasant and had such a marvelous view! We enjoyed having a ping-pong tournament in the garage. The microwave was broken but the owner is having it repaired. The basement was a bit musty, but improved when we emptied and turned on the dehumidifier. We received quick answers from the owner to any questions that we had and really appreciate them sharing their beautiful mountain home with us. We very much enjoyed our stay!"

  • Great for large family and a good time

"We stayed at the Wildcat Lodge during the week of July 4th and had a blast. The lodge is a great place to come home to. Indeed it feels very home-like. We had 10 adults and 4 children and had plenty of room. The lodge is built with beautiful detail and yet has a little wear and tear that made it so we didn't feel like we had to walk on egg shells. It feels lived in and we enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a privilege to stay in such a lovely place. We never met anyone associated with the property. All arrangements and payments were made online and everything went as promised; including the refund of our deposit. Our favorite parts of the home were the deck with the little fire-pit on it and the game room. We all sat around the fire most evenings talking and taking in the night sky. We liked the location being about 30-40 minutes from Asheville and up in a gated community; albeit, not crowded with homes. You only see a few other homes on your drive back to the lodge. You don't have a view, but the beauty of the home and the remote location make it worth it. There are plenty of views as you drive anywhere from here! Thank you for sharing this lodge with my family. We had a great time and hope to return! Mickey and Janice"

  • Great place to stay in a beautiful little town.

"The house is all you could ask for. It is far enough from Asheville to appreciate quiet time but close enough to see the places that you want to visit. I could have never left Black Mountain and been perfectly happy. The owner is great and extremely accommodating."

  • What a view!!!!

"We spent our July 4th holiday at this lodge and loved every minute of it. Everything was wonderful. The beds were comfortable and there was more than enough room for all of us. We spent most of our time on the top deck just looking at the mountains. We ventured out once so that our grandkids could go fishing. Just a short drive to Morse Park. The owner was more than accommodating and easy to work with. Many restaurants and shops just a short drive into Chimney Rock & Lake Lure. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone that is looking for relaxing and amazing views!"
