  • Great place !!!

"If you love to hike...this is the perfect location. Black Mountain Campground has a lot of hiking trails that kept us busy all week. The only time we drove was to go the dump & get groceries. Dogs loved the hikes too & chilling on the grass... Cabin has a great front yard. Road is a little busy ( people going to Campgrounds ). There're other properties on each side of cabin but nobody was there the whole week we stayed there. Had breakfasts & dinners at front porch, nice cool mornings & evenings... that's what we needed coming from hot & humid South Carolina!! Overall South Toe is a wonderful location, owners are truly blessed to own that little place ,right there by Pisgah National Forest !! We highly recommend it to all nature/hiking lovers !! • Beautiful and relaxing !!

"This place was great! We spent two nights here and it was so quiet and peaceful. We loved having the creek right outside the bedroom. Listening to the sound of the water was very relaxing. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The owners are right there on the property and were also very helpful. We will definitely keep this place in mind for our next trip to the mountains!"

  • Can't wait to go back

"Loved the Bridget, loved the cabin and LOVED the soaking tub. The location was perfect. We ate at 9 Mile Friday night, and we liked it so much we went back on Saturday night. Don't give a second thought about booking here. I can't wait to go back!"

  • Perfect! Peaceful and secluded.

"This cabin was fantastic. Right on the river with a porch swing and a hammock. The inside was lovely with comfortable beds and just enough space. We explored the river, enjoyed the scenery and seclusion and took plenty of convenient trips to the Penland School, Spruce Pine, Asheville, etc. Lots of art, lots of charm. We loved the Mountain View Restaurant and the Mexican El Rancho in Spruce Pine. Hammond Antigues in Burnsvilleis a must visit, Ralph Hammond will make you feel right at home. Perfect cabin, perfect trip."
