  • Gorgeous Place!!!

"The cabin is far grander in person than in the photos. It is also very comfortable and the lake setting is serene yet spectacular. Lee is a true southern gentleman and a wealth of knowledge regarding the many dining and entertainment options that are very nearby. We were on a tight family wedding schedule so we weren't able to take full advantage of his suggestions, but we did love the amazing food at Mountain Air. Oh, and the downtown is beyond charming and is very close to the cabin. We are hoping to return later this summer or early in the fall."

  • family spring break

"Our family of six stayed at Flying Fish for a spring break to Asheville. We found the house to be exactly as described. It was spacious, well decorated, very well stocked and exceptionally clean. The views from the wall of windows was stunning and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the woodburning fireplace, the grill and the pool table. The drive to downtown Asheville, the Biltmore and the Blue Ridge Parkway were about 20 minutes (with no steep or scary roads). Sharon was easy to work with and quickly returned our security deposit. I highly recommend this rental for an Asheville vacation."

  • Perfect mountain getaway!

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Where do I start?!! We loved this rental! This was a beautiful log cabin. When you walk in you feel the rustic old cabin feel, will all the modern amenities. You can see where the original old cabin was. Was a neat place! It has plenty of room for familie and we loved the kitchen! It was so big and had everything you need to prepare your meals. It is definitely the place you rent and do not want to leave. As for Carolina Mountain Properties, they are wonderful. We have rented with them the last two years just after Christmas and they are the nicest people! Jennifer is always a delight to work with and we will be using them every year! Both rentals we have gotten are extremely clean. That is the one thing that is a must for us and these properties have been very well kept! Thanks again for another great stay! We will see you again!"

  • Family Fun at "The Lodge"

"We staged a family vacation the 1st week of August 2015 at The Great escape Lodge. The home is huge with ten Bedrooms and six bathrooms! We had twenty four members of our family enjoying all the incredible outdoor activities including: the pool, golf, hiking, horse back riding, white water rafting, going up the mountain in the ski lift, fishing and hiking. After all of these activities we would gather in the huge dining area and enjoy the many tales of the day. In the evening we would gather either outside around the fire pit for "somores" or in the living room for cards and or board games. Beech Mountain offers everything and "The Lodge" provides the relaxation and room to enjoy our large and loud group. Visit Beech Mountain and stay at The Great Escape Lodge!"
