  • 'Tis was a perfect vacation home

"Just came back from a short and memorable vacation at Chimney Rock. 2 families, 9 is us. Very spacious house. Felt like there's separate room for every one of us. Ideal family room floor plan and furniture setting for those late night family game. And a large deck that provides stunning views from 3 sides of the house. Esther has stocked everything that a family of adults and kids would need, away from home. And there are so many activities to do within driving distance - hiking up chimney rock, kayaking in lake lure, amazing waterfalls in Pisgah forest and all around Asheville and vibrant scene at Asheville downtown. Highly recommended trip and property to stay in."

  • Quiet, Clean and Comfortable

"My husband and I were visiting Asheville for our anniversary and were looking for something outside of the city that was a little quieter and cheaper... this was a good choice. It was very quiet here, amenities were nice, bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was full size so you could easily cook meals there. The distance from Asheville was a bit farther than we had thought..like a 25 minute drive. Not a bad drive at all but we were expecting it to be a little closer. Other than that, it was a great place to stay, would recommend!"

  • Relaxing vacation--Clean condo

"We had a great time at Lake Lure staying at your condo. It was very clean and comfortable and Becky (owner) was very accommodating with suggestions of restaurants, things to do, and making sure we had all that we needed to make our stay pleasurable. We stopped at Sliding Rock (in Pisgah National Forest) on the way down to have fun and cool off . While in Lake Lure, we enjoyed amenities at Rumbling Bald Resort like swimming at beach area, basketball, and kayaking on the lake. Legends restaurant was good but did not get chance to eat at Lakeview restaurant. Other restaurants we visited--Larkins on the Lake (just OK), LaStrada (very good), and Medina's (at Chimney village--good). All in all--a good time! Thanks Becky!"

  • Nice Quiet Place to Stay

"We just completed a pleasant stay in this unit which is part of the Bent Creek section of Rumbling Bald. The communication and information flow was excellent. The unit is well equipped and was very clean. We have stayed a several properties at Rumbling Bald and would definitely consider returning to this unit in the future. The property is just a short drive from the main activities on the property and is in a quiet, shady area. That was a real plus in the hot summer since the balcony was shaded. For those that have been to RB in the past, the Apple Valley Convenience Store and gas station has re-opened. This really helps since you don't have to drive to Ingle's for every little item. The farm stand on the way to the property is great for fresh vegetables, fruit, and jams. We enjoyed the facilities at RB and had an excellent meal at the Lakeside Restaurant. Be sure to get the brochure at the Fitness Center for coupons and news of special activities."
