  • Fun hideaway cabin with amazing lake access.

"Hidden in a cove, away from any tourism, we loved meals on the water and jumping in the paddle boat for sightseeing!"

  • Just right!

"Very comfortable classic lake cabin. Plenty of room for the nine people in our family. It had everything we needed, and was very relaxing. It's located on a quiet cove which was great for floating around, jumping off the boathouse, canoeing, or talking with the neighbors. The owner is just the sweetest person who truly wants you to enjoy your stay. We will definitely stay here again!"

  • Peaceful cabin, helpful owner

"The cabin was perfect for our little family (including one child and a small dog). It is charming, secluded, well-appointed, and so pristine that I was surprised to see reviews going back a few years in the guest book. I was sure it was new! It is located in a section of Riverbend that is across the highway from the lake and trails, but you still have access to those amenities and less traffic/more wildlife because it is so secluded. Our first morning we awoke to see a deer walking across the street outside our window, and later we saw a bear in the woods near the road leading to the cabin. The owner could not have been nicer or more helpful - she kept in constant contact when wildfires broke out before our visit, reassuring us that the cabin was not in harm's way and she would refund us if air quality concerns or evacuations prevented us from coming. She was also extremely responsive when we had trouble with the directions and a housekeeping issue. This was a perfect getaway and a great place from which to enjoy Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. Highly recommended."

  • Absolutely perfect.

"Laurel Creek Cottge was everything we wanted in a home away from home. The cottage was furnished so comfortably and had lots of extras. Seeing turkeys feeding outside our window was a real treat. At one time, we counted twenty turkeys. We were able to photograph deer feeding by the stream. Nothing can describe accurately the peacefulness of the stream. What a joy to see and hear the beauty of the outdoors so close to town. The location was perfect! Thank you Royall and Brent for all of your hard work to make our vacation one we will remember! We enjoyed meeting you and will definitely return!"
