  • Perfect Getaway

"My family of four (including two preteen children) recently spent a wonderful week at this terrific home. It appears relatively new and was impressively clean upon arrival. The setting is very private and the inside is beautifully decorated and spacious. My children were thrilled that they each had their own large bedroom with adjoining large bathroom. They were equally thrilled with the pool table and dart board in the game room. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The home is very close and convenient to access the amenities at Rumbling Bald Resort and we found it to be much better kept than the homes of others in our group that had rented within the resort. There were tons of fun, outdoor things to do in the area - ziplining, fishing, biking, hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, etc. We're already looking forward to our next trip back and would definitely stay here again."

  • Wonderful place to stay on Lake Lure

"The cottage is comfortable and well appointed. David and Penny are great hosts, available yet unobtrusive. As the first guests of the season we felt a certain responsibility to make sure to leave things as we found them for future guests. The view from the cottage and the boathouse deck is beautiful. A wonderful place to stay, we would gladly recommend this cottage to any small family. The best part to me was how readily they accepted our dog. Penny even got Piper a dish for water since we weren't sure where her dishes were when we first got there. They are very warm and caring people, and we would not hesitate booking this cottage again should the opportunity arise. Reni and Jim McLemore"

  • A GREAT PLACE TO RELAX AND ENJOY THE 4TH OF JULY!!!

"Just the place we needed to kick back and take it easy for a few days. The place was so nice we didn't leave for 2 days. Everything we needed was already there except groceries which was not far away at Ingles..We would recommend this cabin for couples or families..A great place to stay..Just wish we could have stayed longer.."

  • Lovely retreat on a mountain lake

"We were looking for a mountain lake retreat and we found it with the Lakefront Mountain Cabin. It was well stocked with all the amenities we wanted. A real plus was being able to walk down the stairs to the dock to swim and canoe every day. The house is at the end of the small mirror lake and the water was clear and warm. The access road to the cabin was flat and easy to navigate. We were also grateful for the easy access from the parking to the front door-what a plus when you are hauling in groceries and luggage. The cabin was close to every thing(the nature trail, the entrance, swimming beach and old swimming hole) while being secluded and peaceful. We also enjoyed the swimming beach nearby as well as the old swimming hole where our old dog got to frolic off leash with other dogs in the water. That was priceless! We only had one minor issue with the AC during the brutally hot spell but the property owner was very prompt in replying and it was quickly fixed. Our only regret was that we didn't book additional days!!! We would stay here again in a "heartbeat"."
