  • Perfect Spring Break getaway with kids and dogs!

"We had a great time at the cabin during our Spring Break 2016. The first afternoon we were there it snowed and coming from Florida it was a special treat, especially for the kids who had never seen snow! They enjoyed running around in the spacious yard (as did the dogs), playing in the snow, and then defrosting in the warmth of the hot tub! With 2 moms, 4 kids, and 2 dogs the cabin did not feel cramped at all. The kitchen was well appointed and we enjoyed cooking and eating around the dinning table. The fireplace was so warm and cozy, it did take us a couple tries to get it going, but once we did it worked fine. The location was great as it was not remote, but you couldn't really see any neighbors either and was close to everything we wanted to see and do. The Food Lion grocery store was only 5 minutes away and the Walmart in Boone was just 25 minutes. We went trout fishing, gem mining, hiking to Elk Falls and Grandfather Mountain. I would definitely recommend this cabin to friends and family."

  • Fabulous Weekend Retreat!

"Thanks to Debbie and Don for another fabulous retreat to the NC mountains! After our third year of visiting the Newland cabin, you may ask, “Why do you come back, year after year?” This cozy cabin is tucked into the mountainside, surrounded by forest. Other than the owner’s adjacent home, no other homes are visible so there are no bright outdoor lights to dim the gorgeous starlit nights. We love the fireplace and living room space-great for playing games and watching TV/DVRs. The front porch complete with rocking chairs is perfect for coffee and relaxing! The kitchen is well appointed, complete with dishwasher. A new washer & dryer are a great convenience, too. The loft bedroom is charming and includes a claw-foot tub-another relaxing touch! And, the cabin is always clean when we arrive! Our two dogs love the trip, with lots of room to run without the danger of busy roads. Though the cabin is in the mountains, you are still close to Blowing Rock, Boone, Grandfather Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, lots of great restaurants and graded hiking trails, too. Debbie and Don are often here during our stay, but in their absence they are just a phone call away, posting their cell numbers. Local management personnel are also available, if other services are needed. This is a perfect retreat for those who want to enjoy the outdoors in a peaceful and gorgeous setting! We will be back next year!!"

  • Stunning Home, Stunning Location, Stunning View

"We traveled to Beech Mountain in January over the MLK Holiday Weekend and had the time of our lives! We had 3 families in our group and had ample room at this beautiful mountain, golf course home. Elise was so friendly and helpful, always willing to answer our questions without hesitation. The house is beyond gorgeous and absolutely breathtaking. We had a beautiful snowfall the day before we left and the kids had a blast sledding down the golf course right outside the back door! The ski resort and restaurants are within 10 minutes travel time. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this trip. Thank you Elise for sharing your home with us! One last thing...make sure you have a 4 or All Wheel Drive or chains. We learned the hard way, but made some great memories during our adventure up the snowy mountain!"

  • Quiet and comfortable stay!

"Really enjoyed our stay in the Dogwood home. Perfect for a quiet get away with plenty to do. Only recommendation is to bring an extra fan or two, if more than two people are staying in the summer. Worked out great for us, especially with being pet friendly! Will definitely be coming back!"
