  • Perfect!

"My husband and I stayed at this cabin during the Dirty Dancing Festival and absolutely love it! It was very clean and well stocked. We have stayed in VRBO places before that only had 1 roll of TP, paper towels, etc, so I learned to pack these items. Absolutely not necessary here! You could hear the music from the Tiki Bar if you sat out on the upper front deck at night (which I really enjoyed), but the sound did not carry inside. Overall, it was peaceful and quiet. We hope to stay here again in the future!"

  • Rustic and furnished well.

"31 days in the cool mountain air. Great stay, great places to visit. Mt Mitchell State Park was spectacular. Enjoyed several waterfalls. Nothing compared to waking up to 60 degree weather in July."

  • Pure serenity

"This is a must stay vacation home. Located in a secluded and absolutely breathtaking location north of Asheville, it is far enough away to escape everyday life and forget about the day to day stresses, yet close enough for excursions and explorations of the tremendous amount of activities and sights to be seen in western North Carolina. This vacation home is absolutely beautiful, and even though it is far away from the beaten bath, it has everything and more one could ask for in a vacation home. Evenings were spent playing games with the whole family fireside, or grilling and just listening to the serene sounds of nature while taking in the breathtaking sights. If hiking is your thing, you have to go no further than behind the vacation home with a trail immediately accessible. Without going on forever, this was easily one of the best vacations ever, and it's not a question if, but rather when we will be returning for another family vacation! Thank you for your hospitality!"

  • Great for large family and a good time

"We stayed at the Wildcat Lodge during the week of July 4th and had a blast. The lodge is a great place to come home to. Indeed it feels very home-like. We had 10 adults and 4 children and had plenty of room. The lodge is built with beautiful detail and yet has a little wear and tear that made it so we didn't feel like we had to walk on egg shells. It feels lived in and we enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a privilege to stay in such a lovely place. We never met anyone associated with the property. All arrangements and payments were made online and everything went as promised; including the refund of our deposit. Our favorite parts of the home were the deck with the little fire-pit on it and the game room. We all sat around the fire most evenings talking and taking in the night sky. We liked the location being about 30-40 minutes from Asheville and up in a gated community; albeit, not crowded with homes. You only see a few other homes on your drive back to the lodge. You don't have a view, but the beauty of the home and the remote location make it worth it. There are plenty of views as you drive anywhere from here! Thank you for sharing this lodge with my family. We had a great time and hope to return! Mickey and Janice"
