  • Perfect for adventures

"Absolutely perfect! My boys are adventurous, and there was plenty of adventure right outside the door! We hiked the trail beside the house, played in the creek, caught some crawdads. Also, went just down the road to Ray mine and hiked around and the boys caught salamanders. The house itself could probably use a little improvement, mainly the queen bedroom floor sinks in, but it didnt really bother us too much. We never slept in the treehouse, because the glass door wouldnt lock and had no curtain, and I am just weird about that. Not a big deal to some, I know. We loved this place so much that we extended our stay from 7 days to 10 days. It snowed and was absolutely beautiful! Laura was amazing! She even brought us wood for the fireplace when we ran out. Would definitely stay here again."

  • Very nice, clean, and well equipped

"Our family had a wonderful time staying here. The cabin was great and the Cane river is just at the end of the road where you can fish and swim and even swing from a rope into the river. Burnsville is a great little town with some cool shops. The Blind Squirrel is a legit restaurant and brewery. The coffee shop in town, Appalachian Java, makes a killer iced Americano. The Carolina Hemlocks are about 30 minutes away where you can jump off rocks into a cold natural swimming hole or tube down the river. We spent a whole day there picnicking and swimming. We drove about an hour and half southwest and enjoyed some amazing swimming holes and waterfalls. Loved it."

  • Wonderful location - so peaceful

"We stayed at Vintage Creek for a long weekend. We arrived at the house late and my parents were already there, walking up to the house with the lights on, ground covered in vibrant colored leaves was like a picture perfect Christmas card! The house is amazing, the sound of the stream provides the best nights sleep you will ever have as well as a continually changing landscape outside all of the many windows. The house is well stocked and makes it really feel like your home in the mountain, not just some rental. We loved it - I hope we manage to get back here!"
