  • Terrific mountain house

"We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. When we walked in we felt like we were home. The master bedroom and bathroom are AMESOME!!! The cabin was extremely clean and the kitchen is ridiculously well stocked. The laundry room has an awesome front loading washer where the owners provided all supplies to do laundry. It has an amazing deck for sipping coffee while soaking in the terrific view of the mountains. The hot tub which is new for 2016 was awesome. It was the first trip our family had taken together to the mountains and it was a memorable one for our children as well as us. The owners are super easy to work with. The location is a little off the beaten path but who wants a bunch of people around when you're enjoying a beautiful secluded cabin in the mountains. I will say the house does not have central AC which does not matter during peak season but in the summer it can get a little warm in the house, so if you are hot natured you may want to pack a couple fans for the downstairs bedrooms. The upstairs master has a window unit that keeps that room nice and comfy. Overall, I would go back right now and stay another week if I could we loved it that much. You will not be disappointed with your stay."

  • Christmas Vacation 2015

"We stayed at this property in Chetola at Christmas (for the third time) and we had a terrific time. Even though it did not snow, we enjoyed the Resort on the property. We dined at Timberlake's and enjoyed walking to downtown Blowing Rock. This unit was spotless and appeared to be very well maintained. We will definitely be back."

  • Great house and location

"21 of us spent the weekend in Beech Mountain. House is as advertised and was clean and ready for us. Kitchen is very well stocked and there is a closet full of games and puzzles to enjoy. You can literally walk to the ski lift from the house. We enjoyed the spring time in the mountains - Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Blowing Rock. We shopped several times at Fred's in Beech Mtn and twice are pizza across from the house at Brick Oven Pizzaria. Hope we can go back sometime and this house is available!"

  • Cozy cabin close to numerous outdoor adventures

"Our family booked a last minute trip to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. Toni was quick to reply to my email and she was eager to answer all of my questions both prior to and during our stay. The cabin is a such a gem, built with huge logs from the 20 acre property. The stone fireplace was a cozy place to gather with our young kids on chilly mornings. The cabin has everything you need and things are well-labeled to help guests feel settled in quickly. We spent time playing in the yard as well as at the creek on the property. We also hiked at nearby Beech Mountain, visited the Moses Cone Estate, and walked around Price Lake. The towns of Banner Elk and Valle Crucis have small shops and markets within a 15 minute drive. We felt like we were able to enjoy a balance of quiet family time with active endeavors while making wonderful memories! Thank you, Toni, for your hospitality and for sharing such a special place with us. We will certainly look forward to future visits!"
