  • We had a wonderful time!

"The three levels worked great for our large group. We enjoyed the fire place, sledding down the hillside, fishing at the pond, playing air hockey and play station 2. The house is close to town; great location. Owner of house was both professional and pleasant to coordinate with."

  • Beautiful views in November!

"We had a wonderful time at the condo. We did a lot of driving and hiking, making the most of the great location - Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Price Lake, downtown Boone, downtown Blowing Rock, even Asheville - all over the course of 4 days, and there was still time for relaxing at the condo. Part of our stay was during the week, and in early November traffic was low. We had no trouble getting around. Beth was a great host checking in on us while we were there. She also provided a nice list of restaurants in the Banner Elk area. We hope to get out there again, and highly recommend Skyleaf!"

  • Pleasant stay on Sugar Mtn

"This condo is beautifully equipped - everything you could need - roomy bedrooms and full baths with extra heat, kitchen well-stocked! As with most accommodations, there was one rather big disappointment: We could NOT light the gas logs in the gorgeous stone fireplace/hearth! It looked like the gas pipe was NOT connected to the logs. Other condos were using fireplaces - smoke coming out chimneys. Really missed that expectation! Our unit's Y F was intermittent, but we enjoyed watching cable TV. It is a DOWNSTAIRS unit, condo above. Guests entered the upstairs condo late Friday night, so we heard the walking. No working light bulb on outside porch. Not sure if non-slip strips were in place for outside stairs. Leaves were covering walkway/steps when we arrived - in the dark & raining lightly - so a bit scary. Mattresses were "fair", but I didn't have trouble sleeping and I do have back problems. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed the unit. Nice view!"

  • Clean, well maintained cabin home with amazing view! It was such a relaxing and peaceful place!

"My friends and I wanted a nice cabin for a three night stay to relax and enjoy each other. We enjoyed cooking, drinking wine, and sitting by the fire sharing stories and playing games. The cabin had everything we needed to prepare our meals and enjoy ourselves. It was just a short drive down the mountain to get groceries or enjoy a nice dinner at a local restaurant. We also had a great time at the local adventure place call the edge of the world where we went whitewater rafting and spent another day hiking trails nearby. Great place in a great town and location on the mountain! Can see myself taking my family next time!"
