  • Perfect mountain condo

"My husband and I and our daughter's family (children ages 10 & 12) enjoyed 10 days in this awesome condo. Large, comfortable space with well-equipped kitchen, plenty of bedding, and a breathtaking view from every window and balcony. Our granddaughters delighted in al fresco breakfast every morning on the balcony....and the happy hour sunsets were amazing. Security was excellent and the shuttle service was an extra special surprise. The enclosed swimming pool (with waterfall) and gym were enjoyed by all :)) Thank you Moen Family for this memorable family experience."

  • Exceeded all expectations!

"What a great month @ Granddaughter Mountain. The pictures of the condo speak for themselves, what we didn't expect were the beautiful sunsets, the humming bird shows and such a great host. Annie could not have been more gracious and accommodating. The biggest compliment I can give is we've already booked for next year."

  • Rooms with a view

"All in all a very pleasant stay for my wife, mother and me. Mom is 89 and has some mobility limitations but is still able to get around pretty well, and this location worked out fine for her. Although the massive Sugartop building perched high atop the mountain is admittedly a little forbidding when first approached or seen from a distance, the condominium once inside is attractively decorated and well-kept. The bedrooms are quite snug but comfortable and nicely appointed. The living room (we didn't need the rather elaborate fireplace, but it's there and apparently ready for service, alongside the entertainment center and exit onto the balcony) seems surprisingly roomy, and the kitchen and dining room provide something of an upscale feel to the accommodations. My wife and I enjoyed a dip in the pool while viewing the low-hanging clouds passing by outside the surrounding wall-size windows, then tried out the sauna and jacuzzi -- very relaxing. There's a Food Lion very close by in one direction, along with a couple of restaurants and a coffee shop, and charming Banner Elk is just up the road. Of course, other popular destinations are also easy to reach, such as Grandfather Mountain, Boone and Valle Crucis."
