  • Valentine's Day Ski Retreat!

"The property was very clean, well maintained and much bigger and nicer than what you see on the pictures. Very , very Bright house which was awesome to see all the snow fall outside. The golf community that the property is in is amazing as well. If there was a prize for the best security and upkeep they would win in by far! Talk about going above and beyond for your tenants - Shanaaz was amazing! Very responsive withing minutes everything was taken care of. There was plenty of ice and snow, we loved the slopes but the kids had so much fun sledding down the driveway! Property is Fully stocked on winter equipment! Trust me you would want to rent this amazing property it's so worth the price even more. We would return next winter again! Thank you again for a memorable vacation!"

  • Lovely setup for multigenerational family

"This property was perfect for our 3-generation family of 6. The home is right on the lake, with a lakeside deck. We particularly liked the gathering spaces - sofa and chairs around the fireplace and an open area overlooking the lake. There's a large master suite as well as two smaller rooms with double beds. There is not a large dining area - there's a bar setup and a smallish bar-height table - which might have been more of a problem if we were all trying to sit down for formal meals. The owners responded quickly to our questions, even on Thanksgiving. The stairs down to the entry could be tricky for less agile guests to negotiate. The street is almost at roof level of the house. Like most properties in the area, there is a fairly long staircase down to the main entrance, and there are some uneven spots. Overall, a lovely space with pretty much everything we needed!"

  • Overall great place!

"This is a great home to stay, near enough to Boone and other attractions, yet far enough to definitely be secluded. My one suggestion about the location: do not arrive at night! We got a late start and did not get in until around 11 pm and following the directions at night was a bit of a challenge! The home is very nice. There were 9 of us: 4 adults and 5 children. There were 2 queen beds in bedrooms, 4 bunk beds, and one hide-a-bed that we used. I loved the Jacuzzi and it definitely helped prevent some soreness after hiking Linville Gorge and Grandfather mountain. There are some porch swings, and it was nice to sit out there and listen to the wind blow and the creeks flowing. There were plenty of towels and hot water (important when there are a bunch of people needing showers after a day of sightseeing walking). In all honesty, I think the only thing I looked for but could not find was a cheese grater! But that was totally minor and I only mention it to show that the house has everything you could need for a week long stay. As someone else said, the wifi can get weak at times, especially if there are multiple users. But it was not really inconvenient, just kind of noticeable when we were all trying to check our emails. But we had cell service without problems the entire time. It probably just depends on the carrier. Working with Rod was very nice, he is prompt in his replies and very straightforward in explaining the cost. We would stay there again."

  • Thge minute we arrrived it felt like home!!!

"From the first conversation and email with the owner to the last view before we locked the door, this was paradise. We slept nine family members very easily with plenty of room to lounge around. The window views were breath taking from every room and the two porches on both levels. Every thing was clean and updated and supplied with the basics!! Many of our friends that visited and wanted to be a part of our VRBO!! There is plenty to do on Main street, a short drive a way.... Restaurants, shops and musical entertainment. The are a lot of outdoor activities - hikes, views and tours. We were there for a family occasion but still made a lot of places and like the owner said of the home, "We loved it to death!""
