  • Wonderful in every way!

"My husband and I were there for 11 days over the 4th of July and the house had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Our boys came for several days and stayed in the Loft upstairs which worked out well for a 2nd bedroom. Bathrooms are small but very adequate. The kitchen was fully equipped to cook a full dinner. The beds were very comfortable and all was clean which is extremely important to us. The Treehouse has a new Washer and Dryer , which we used several times. The furniture as you see in the photos is so nice and comfy. My favorite was the Back Porch as we sat out there every morning and evening and had dinner out there too. All you see are the beautiful trees and forest setting. The house is 4000ft altitude so the Summer weather is mild and even cool evenings in the summer. We're from Florida so it was heaven to us. The neighborhood is a small quiet community right off Hwy 64 between Cashiers and Highlands. Great location. In Cashiers, don't miss the Farmer's Market, Rendevu Restaurant (Crab Cakes and Fried Green Tomatoes) and the Ingles is the best Grocery Store around. In Highlands, of course Wild Thyme Cafe and Mountain Fresh Grocery for take out and so much more. Larry, our landlord was extremely helpful with any requests we had. Brian, who lives down the street will also take care of any needs you might have while your there. We will be back! Thank you Larry and Brian."

  • Even better the second time around

"We have just concluded our second visit to Asheville and our second stay at this property. We loved it even more the second time. The house is in a great neighborhood with friendly neighbors, amazing location and everything you could possibly want in a home away from home. It offers everything you could possibly want. Mike is quick to respond to communications, too! The "perfect" description is definitely true. Thank you, Mike, for helping make this vacation so great!"

  • Fantastic Views from a beautiful Mountain Home

"I considered myself very lucky when I was able to secure this very desirable home for the weekend of Art in the Park in Blowing Rock recently. I had no idea how lucky I was until we walked into this home and were all standing there in total awe by the incredible views from the huge rear deck. There were 5 in our group and we all loved the home. Very spacious and well laid out, luxurious but still comfortable. Large bedrooms, and a beautiful living room with fantastic views from it as well. We met the owners and they were so nice and down to earth, a real pleasure to deal with. I can't wait to visit this fantastic mountain home again. As a person that usually loves the beach, the time spent in this home completely opened my eyes to the enjoyment of cool evenings on the deck and a chance to experience the absolute best that luxury mountain home living has to offer."

  • Getaway

"We love the Highlands! We were looking for something where our grandkids could play in the yard and the rest of the family could go play as they wish. I watched the kids, the teenagers went canoeing in mirror lake and my son walked the dogs to the dog park. We went to an art show at the Bascom too. My grans loved the nature center. The house was perfect for us with plenty of parking and plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed the kitchen with great appliances, sometimes that's hard to find in a rental in Highlands. My only complaint is that we wanted more time."
