  • Best place around.

"A nicer place to stay in this area is going to be hard to find. The Sassy Goose Lodge was well equipped, roomy, ultra clean and the lake is beautiful. The owner was incredibly accommodating and helpful and everything was just perfect. Very close to Dupont State Forest. The Fawn Lake access area was less than 1.5 miles from the lodge and the rest just a few more minutes away. We came for the mountain biking so this was great. If you're looking for the best place to stay in this area look no further. You won't be disappointed."

  • Perfect location, cozy home, great owner!

"My friend and I stayed in this lovely home while scouting out venues for my upcoming wedding. It was such a warm, inviting home! The location is within easy walking distance to Main Street - which was perfect for walking home from Ugly Dog later in the evening. We didn't eat at home but kitchen was well stocked. The home is well decorated. A mountain vibe without being too kitschy. Comfortable bed and sofa too! Walked to Sunset Rock -don't miss it! Would definitely recommend."

  • Extra cozy, comfortable, no detail left undone. Perfect for anyone looking for a mountain getaway.

"Beautifully decorated and newly renovated. Very comfortable bed and couch. Extra pillows and warm blankets were a nice, cozy touch. We found games in the living room cabinet which was a fun surprise! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. The bathroom was newly finished. The shower had great water pressure and the water was nice and hot.. perfect after a long day of skiing! Everything was very clean.. we felt like we were the first people to ever step foot inside! The location is incredibly convenient to Sugar Mountain.. and is essentially across the street from the entrance of the resort. A few restaurants, a coffee shop, as well as a grocery store are within a few minutes. The liquor store is nearby too. Brian was very quick to communicate with us before and even during our stay. He provided detailed directions for check-in and check-out. Planning our stay was seamless and effortless. Thank you for everything!!"

  • Beautiful, stylish yet homely place in ideal Asheville location, great for families with young kids

"This was our 3rd time in Asheville in our 3rd VRBO home (the other two were great, but we needed a bigger one this time as we were traveling with abother family) and yet again, another success! The house is just a short drive from Downtown but still feels like you are right in the mountains, and with a little driveway up a hill, it is very private and quite. The house layout is wide and open, it feels bigger than a 3 BR house, and we loved all the little artistic and fun details (like a keyboard and guitar; beautiful sun light, spacious kitchen). In the summer, the nice backyard area would be great for some nice fresh air! We were two couples, each with a young boy (4 and 6) and as Patrick mentioned ahead of the stay, the kids also loved the place! While it was a short, 2 night stay, we felt right at home and I would highly recommend this house for anyone looking to enjoy Asheville in any form (couples retreat, family trip, just a trip among friends). Patrick was very nice and responsive and there was nothing but goodness in our trip!"
