  • Great Location for the Whole Family!

"Looking for a beach house that can accommodate a large group where everyone can find something they love to do? This is it! The house was perfect for our group, located in a quiet subdivision close to the beach and bike path. One of our favorite activities was taking a bike ride into town to try out the different ice cream shops. We also loved how close the beach was, just a short walk away. The owners even provide an awesome cart that rolls easily on pavement and sand to haul chairs, toys, etc. (which they also provide)! We made good use of the large dining table for cards and board games after dinner and loved having the option of a gas grill and charcoal grill. The owners were very responsive, even checking in with us after our first day to make sure we had everything we needed. I can't say enough about this experience. If you're considering this one, do it!"

  • Islandia East - Just what we were looking for

"Our family spent a wonderful vacation at Islandia East the week of August 7. It was a pleasure meeting Austin upon our arrival. Austin and Margaret have kept their home well cared for, well maintained and very clean. Our family consisted of 3 couples and 3 young children. Every couple having their own en suite bedroom/bathroom was a huge plus after coming up from the beach at the end of the day. Getting ready for dinner, whether staying in or going out, took little time when you didn't have to wait your turn. Islandia's kitchen is well appointed - everything we needed to prepare meals and more than enough dinnerware and flatware to accommodate our family. We had asked about a large crockpot prior to our stay and Austin brought one from his home for us to use - something he didn't need to do but he went the extra mile. Islandia has a lot of stairs inside the house and down to the beach so if you're not in shape, keep that in mind. The view from the upper deck and the crow's nest is great. The beautiful beach is not far away from the the last step. It was not crowded - we had plenty of space for two umbrellas, six beach chairs, cabana and canopy. Waves were great - not a lot of undertow - and you can walk out quite far. The best place to go shelling is down at The Point. We drove down to The Point about 8:30 one morning and after an hour, had plenty of shells to bring home as a memory of our vacation. The convenience of a close grocery store, hardware store and beach/souvenir shops is also a plus. We would definitely rent from Austin and Margaret again. They were fast to respond to email questions and had plenty of directions/instructions in Islandia."

  • A great family escape

"Our 3 generational family of 13 stayed at the Fort Point House for 4th of July weekend. The house was extremely clean and well stocked for meal prep and serving for large numbers, with plenty of extra table seating. Best of all was the water access for kayaking, paddleboarding, etc. We hope to come back someday. The owners were not there at the time, but responded immediately to any questions or issues, and were extremely informative prior to our arrival. Thank you Paul and Emily."

  • Our Favorite Vacation House EVER!

"Lucky Enough is my family's home away from home. We have stayed here for 5 or 6 years and return every summer that we get the chance. The house is perfect for our two families (4 adults and 4 teens). We love that there are two king beds for the adults. The upstairs is comfortable for cooking, eating, and hanging out after dinner. The decks are amazing - a blend of shade and sun and views: perfect spots for morning coffee, afternoon naps, and sunset views. The children love to lounge at the pool and the shady poolside deck is great for afternoon happy hours. The grill is always heavily used, with fresh fish from Cap'n Willis and s'mores after dinner. The location is one of our favorite parts, as there is simply no place like The Point. The beach is easily accessible, wide, uncrowded, and fabulous. Sunset walks at The Point and sunrise walks down the beach are a must. Of course, the gift certificate to the Sweet Spot is the cherry on top! The owner and property manager are very responsive. Can't wait until next year!"
