  • Perfect Beach Vacation

"This house is perfect for 2 couples to share as there are 2 master bedrooms and a bathroom both up and down. Plenty of privacy plus a large living area and kitchen for all. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook and serve meals. Local seafood shops provide the opportunity to cook fresh fish including shrimp and crab legs. The sliding glass doors in the living area and the up and down master bedrooms enable you to listen to the relaxing sound of the ocean waves while indoors. Cable TV and free wifi are provided making it convenient to keep up with your email. The best feature is the deck that faces the ocean with a short wooden walkway over sand dunes to the beach. From the there are wonderful views of both sunrises and sunsets because of how the house is facing. The dolphins playing during the day while relaxing on the deck was a special treat. The area has plenty to offer for shopping, dining and sight seeing. Moorhead City and Beaufort are to the east, and offer ferry rides to outer islands. Swansboro is to the west which has some excellent restaurants. Be sure to stop by Yana's for breakfast - fun Marilyn Monroe and Elvis memorabilia and the staff was very friendly. On the island itself there is Fort Macon, a well restored fort that was built before the War of 1812, and a there is also very nice NC aquarium. This was the ideal house and location for rest, relaxation and fun at a very affordable price for 2 couples to share. Jerry (the property contact) was just so nice and professional when he greeted us and gave us some wonderful recommendations. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful! We will definitely come back."

  • A Bit of Pardise on Emerald Isle

"My wife and I have been renting homes on the outer banks for over 20 years. We absolutely love the Crystal Coast. This home has undeniable charm and all the conveniences one would expect of a home. The sun rises and sunset from this home were outstanding. Our walks on the beach and beautiful sand dunes just added to the charm of this home. If your looking for a great get away, I highly recommend this home. We will definitely be back!"

  • A much needed week in Paradise!

"The location is perfect! The week we were there was so quiet and we had the beach (+ shops, restaurants and aquarium) to ourselves. The weather was perfect (mid 80's each day). Each family member had their own space and own bathroom. The house set up is absolutely perfect for all of the ages (19 months to 78 yrs) we had to accommodate (naps, etc.) Just perfect! When we first arrived, the view as we walked in the front door was breathtaking! We then went out to the back deck and saw an 8 point buck standing majestically next to the hot tub! We spent the week relaxing and exploring, eating and playing. I had read all the reviews when choosing a location and agree with them...the kitchen has EVERYTHING! The big table is perfect for us all to eat together and the two dishwashers were needed! Everything is very well thought out. The decor is just stunning! Very welcoming and so tastefully done! We all picked up a LOT of decorating ideas to take back to Indiana and West Virginia! I would definitely recommend this beautiful home! * Make sure you go to the Aquarium * Food Lion is right around the corner - they have everything! * Flipperz restaurant was a fun time and the food was wonderful! * Rent a bike for the day/week * Check out the specialty shops (right next to Food Lion) * Get a kayak and explore the sound! This beautiful home is very centrally located."

  • A Great Escape

"The Pink Flamingo is aptly named -- it is truly a fun escape from the stresses of everyday life which we would recommend to anyone! The owners have truly thought of everything ~ the entire house is beautifully and tastefully decorated in "fun" colors and has all the amenities you could ever need. We especially enjoyed the views of the ocean from the upstairs bay window and while relaxing in the living area downstairs; not to mention the wonderful deck! There are plenty of activities in the area -- something for every traveler. We truly appreciated being able to simply come and "crash" for a week in this very peaceful and refreshing place and hope to return again."
