  • Great Space, Great Location!

"Travelling with 8 adults(40 and older) 9 children (5-15yrs), this house offered amazing space for everyone. The layout was perfect! Loved the decks all around the house. Also very private in the back of house, and beach access was a quick walk across Ocean Blvd. Older kids had a blast riding their bikes along path to get pizza/smoothies/Duck donuts, Rite Aid etc...so many spots within 2 miles. Truly convenient to everything you need. Some surfers of our group were disappointed in lack of waves this time of year. We may have to consider trying August next time:). Nonetheless, a family vacation for the record books. Thank you "Park Place"!"

  • Perfect Beach House

"My husband and I with our 3 children and their spouses and 6 grandchildren stayed at the lifesaving station #7 last week. We loved the house, the pool and beach! The house has everything you would need. It's very comfortable and spacious. The bunk room is perfect for the kids. There is a lot of stores and restaurants and things to do very close by. The fence around the backyard pool makes it very private and peaceful. The large front porch has a huge picnic table and plenty of big comfy chairs to sit and listen to the surf and relax. We would definitely stay here again. With 14 of us under one roof we didn't feel crowded at all. My granddaughters loved the window seats in the second floor family room. I would highly recommend the house. Joanne was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Thank you Joanne for helping us have a wonderful family vacation! The Behrens family"

  • Very Comfortable Base Camp

"We had a great time staying here, it feels like a home and not just a beach rental. It is comfortable and clean, and even though it's pet friendly it doesn't smell or feel "doggy" (we have 2 dogs and brought them with us so I say that with love ;) The furnishings are comfortable and the kitchen is very well stocked. The owners are super nice, very responsive, and very accommodating. The downstairs area is not so great for sleeping due to it being a converted garage space, but it's great for when the night owls need a space to go and hang out while upstairs people are sleeping :) The sound is right across the street with easy access for anything from a kayak to a big boat. The beaches along the coast are just fantastic. Frisco has a cool vibe, a nice mix of locals and things for tourists. Overall we had a stellar time and I'm really glad we found this spot! Thanks again!"

  • great home!

"If you are looking for a great home for your OBX vacation, you just found it. This home was perfect for my family and I on our trip the last week of June, 2016. We easily fit the entire group. The house was much larger than I expected. Every adult had their own room, with space for all of our stuff we brought with us. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. There is even a half bath off the main living area on the top floor. The views were amazing! Each floor has a balcony. Yes there is a house between this house and the beach, but it didn't block much. The hot tub looked new. The pool was big enough for us, not small, but not huge either. The pool is between the back of the house and the beach. It did get very sandy. However, we were able to have the company that maintains the house come out mid-week and vacuum the pool for us. The service was great. This company also snaked some drains that were clogged, changed light bulbs that burned out, and fixed our TV's that didn't work at first (the island had just switched companies the week before). The biggest thing they fixed that I was really impressed with, was the pool railing. They basically re cemented it back into the ground for us because it was so loose. Everything else was already well maintained. We arrived and the house was clean. Being right on the beach we did track a lot of sand into the house, but found brooms and a vacuum to take care of it when it got bad. The beach was great. There are a few houses sharing the area, but it was not crowded. I didn't feel like I had to rush and get a good spot for the day. We took our time and came and went as we pleased. We even left our stuff out there all day when we went back to the house because you could still see it. Watch were you step on the beach! There are a lot of ghost crabs hanging out! My kids loved them. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. My only complaint is the charcoal grill. Its tiny and hard to cook for 12+ people on it. If the owners would get a gas grill for the kitchen level deck, that would just make everything perfect! We also took advantage of the elevator to bring our stuff in and out of the house. However, we didn't use it for just moving people. There are a lot of stairs, so be warned if you aren't a stairs person and elevators make you nervous. I highly recommend this property. I will book it again if we decide to come back to OBX."
