  • Beautiful Adventure

"This was our first trip to the outer banks...certainly not our last! Once the paved road ended a new world opened up. The drive on the beach was amazing in itself, but once we arrived at Meant to Be we knew the week would only get better. It is beautifully decorated and well kept. There was plenty of room for our group of 10 plus our puggle! The many decks all offered breathtaking views and the wild horses were just beautiful. We collected lots of seashells, walked countless walks along the shore, and enjoyed the canoe in the canals. There was every amenity (and appliance) one could possibly need in the beautiful home as well. The pool was amazing as well! The kids (7 of them 11-21) all had a blast as well! Melissa and Bill were incredibly helpful and responsive to our questions before our trip and even checked in with us once we arrived. It was an amazing adventure that we look forward to again!!!"

  • Perfect location, beautiful home, even the dogs had a blast!

"This was just a dream of a vacation.. everything about it was perfect! The home is much smaller than surrounding homes which was exactly what we wanted. It is located 'a dune away' from the beach, which is a nice walk. There is one house closer to the beach but not close to the Beach Box as far as privacy goes. There is a large home next door but even still it is not on the deck-side of the house, so it is still private. Perfect for couples or small families. The inside is just as pictured, clean and beautiful, lots of windows. The deck faces the ocean, although you can't see it because of the dunes, its still very private and nice to lay out in the sun. or enjoy the hot tub at night. We saw the wild horses everywhere, on the beach, right outside the house, etc. Lots of walking trails around the 'neighborhood'. We brought our two dogs, they loved the beach & exploring the beautiful area. To get to the house you must drive about 8 miles on the beach, you definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle and to let the air out of your tires. Even with 4 wheel drive we saw quite a few trucks and SUVs stuck in the sand, so just a warning. But being that far away from everything just adds to the peace and seclusion. We highly recommend this home. The owner, Heidi, was a pleasure to work with too :)"

  • Perfect Beach House

"This was our second year at Ocean's End, and we definitely plan on returning. We are a large group (15 people), yet this house provided plenty of space for all of us to relax. The A/C works excellent, the bathrooms were spotless, the beds were comfortable and clean, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook large family dinners every night. We love the pool and the hot tub. The wild horses walk right into the yard to graze, and False Cape State Park is an easy three mile hike from the house."
