  • Fabulous ocean views

"The location is perfect. Great price for the location and view. The home is well laid out and offers lots of linens, towels and kitchen equipment. With a few minor fixes this could be a fantastic home. The grill needs to be replaced as well as the oven. Hard to cook dinner when they both kept shutting off during cooking. The pool area is also extremely tight. They also need to increase their pest service. I've never seen so many spiders on one home."

  • Great place to stay

"The house is in a great location. It was super easy to get to and communication with the owner was excellent. The house was clean and well stocked. It's ready for some updates but everything was fully functional and we had a wonderful time. The house is a quick walk to the beach. We will definitely stay again."

  • Perfect Family Vacation

"This was our fourth visit to the Outer Banks and staying at the McKenna house. Our 3 year old, little man, loves being here. He enjoyed walking to downtown duck, hiking the sand dunes, visiting Jennette's Pier and on some days playing on the beach. The house was immaculate and well-maintained as always, especially considering that the entire area was just bombarded with a severe hurricane. We had no trouble getting to the house and around the town of Duck. We had everything we needed and more. Karen is always excellent to us. The house is centrally located to make it just a short walk to either the beach or downtown duck for shopping and restaurants. We always visit the Roadside Bar and Grill when we are in Duck. This time we tried out The Blue Point Restaurant, which was also a hit and new favorite!! This was the first year that our little guy could use the hot tub and he wanted to go in it every day. I would highly recommend this house to anyone planning a trip to Duck. The location can't be beat and the amenities are outstanding. Everything is within walking distance."

  • Sea Fever Garwood

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 3rd time in Duck, we had a great time as always. Beach and pool all day, and short bike rides into town in morning and night. We loved the location. We've stayed on Marlin once before and on Christopher once. This was the closest we've ever been to the beach and we loved that. Brand new house, so not too much to complain about. Probably would have been a little easier with kids if one of the bedrooms had two singles or another set of bunkbeds. Game room had no games? Thought it said that there was a tv at the bar, but I guess that's coming later. Also thought I saw something about a fire pit and never saw that. Ice machine at bar, was not what we expected. We've stayed at other houses with real ice machines. Probably would be a good idea to include wifi password with welcome material, we had to call and no one got back to us until Sunday afternoon. Also hot tub head rest came off as soon as jets were turned on first day there. No one was even sitting in that spot, we had to pay for it which I don't think was right. For the most part we loved the house, just mentioning a few things that could make it better."
