  • Best beach house we've stayed in

"Went to this excellent beach house for a week. I have never stayed in a house that took care of me as much as this one -- kitchen stocked with high-end appliances, all utensils you could possibly need, spices, dishwasher detergent, soap, garbage bags, etc. Didn't have to bring our laundry detergent either or beach chairs, cart or toys (even two boogie boards provided). Beds were comfortable, wonderful sunroom, lots of deck space. The convenience of riding our bikes to get Duck Donuts while walking a block to the beach is just perfect. Sign us up for next year!"

  • A great choice

"We have been coming to Corolla with our grown children and grandchildren for 7 years. We were weary of the traffic on Saturday. We took a chance and tried this house in Duck which has a Sunday check-in. Being right on the ocean was an exciting new feature for us. This was an absolutely wonderful house. It fit our family of 6 tall adults and 4 grandsons. We loved that all 3 couples had comfortable king size beds. The table was plenty big for all of us as cooking and eating the evening meal together is a highlight of each day. The outside shower was perfect for getting the layer of sand off. The master bath was very luxurious. Every bedroom has a bath plus a half bath on the living level. There was a supply of games in the master bedroom closet which was so big, the kids could actually spread out on the floor there and play. The house was beautifully furnished with coordinating decor. There was plenty of room for parking. The elevator made it possible for my husband to enjoy being there without stressing his problem knees. It certainly helped us all with move in, move out and groceries.Needless to say, we reserved this rental for next year."

  • Couldn't be better!

"I was going to discuss the pros and cons of vacationing at Seaquester, but there just are no cons. We are a family of seven adults and we had a blast at Seaquester. First of all, Patti at Great Escapes was so kind and helpful, and their cleaning crew did a fantastic job- the house and bathrooms were very clean (and I am fussy). There are four king bedrooms with their own bath and a room with two bunk beds, which we didn't need to use. The top floor has a master bedroom, the living room, dining room and kitchen (with everything you could want). The two refrigerators were wonderful - we used on for ice and beverages and the other for food. There are two coffee makers so we had one for regular and one for decaf! That was a nice touch. Great Escapes also left us a small basket of a few necessities and the kitchen has spices, but you do need to bring most everything for food and cleaning, though each bathroom has a dispenser of hand soap, another nice touch. And the multiple light switches are labeled- you can tell the owners have really thought of ways to make their home easy to love. There is a screened in porch for the master bedroom and a screened in dining room as well, with wrap around decks on the top 2 floors. So lots of space for couples privacy and lots of space for us all to get together. The pool is great, and after we decided you didn't need to be a kid to use it, we all had fun on the water slide. Lots of loungers, an umbrella table, chairs, and pool toys as well. The hot tub was such a treat. The pool and hot tub were super clean when we arrived on Saturday, and the pool maintenance guy came again on Tuesday. Did I mention the private walkway to the sandy beach right on the ocean? The house is beachy, but not kitchy- soft blues and neutrals, very comfy beds and chairs and sofas. Lots of storage space in the closets, extra blankets and pillows if you need them. We had one terrible rainy day (Tropical Storm Bonnie) but then at 5 pm my son called us out to the deck to see a full arc double rainbow! So I guess you can tell we loved the house, the location and the Outer Banks. This rental is worth every penny for the ocean front location, the pool & hot tub, the charming and comfortable interior and everything you want and need for a great family vacation. Seven thumbs up for our family! We hope to be back in 2018."

  • Beautiful home and SO CLOSE TO THE BEACH

"The pictures don't do justice for this lovely home. Our family has visited OBX for many years but couldn't find our "forever home"... Until this year. Everything you need is provided including linens, towels and laundry products. The walk to the beach is extremely brief; the closest we've ever stayed considering the home is classified as Oceanside. Communication with the owner was immediate and personable. Any question we had she immediately responded to and was genuinely interested in making sure our stay was positive. Beautiful home, involved owner and amazing value. Our family HIGHLY recommends this home!"
