"Even though Hurricane Matthew gave us bad weather, this home was a great place for our family reunion. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and separate lounging places for the whole family. I would definitely recommend this place to any future renters. Very clean and Susan the owner was very accommodating."

  • Couldn't be better!

"I was going to discuss the pros and cons of vacationing at Seaquester, but there just are no cons. We are a family of seven adults and we had a blast at Seaquester. First of all, Patti at Great Escapes was so kind and helpful, and their cleaning crew did a fantastic job- the house and bathrooms were very clean (and I am fussy). There are four king bedrooms with their own bath and a room with two bunk beds, which we didn't need to use. The top floor has a master bedroom, the living room, dining room and kitchen (with everything you could want). The two refrigerators were wonderful - we used on for ice and beverages and the other for food. There are two coffee makers so we had one for regular and one for decaf! That was a nice touch. Great Escapes also left us a small basket of a few necessities and the kitchen has spices, but you do need to bring most everything for food and cleaning, though each bathroom has a dispenser of hand soap, another nice touch. And the multiple light switches are labeled- you can tell the owners have really thought of ways to make their home easy to love. There is a screened in porch for the master bedroom and a screened in dining room as well, with wrap around decks on the top 2 floors. So lots of space for couples privacy and lots of space for us all to get together. The pool is great, and after we decided you didn't need to be a kid to use it, we all had fun on the water slide. Lots of loungers, an umbrella table, chairs, and pool toys as well. The hot tub was such a treat. The pool and hot tub were super clean when we arrived on Saturday, and the pool maintenance guy came again on Tuesday. Did I mention the private walkway to the sandy beach right on the ocean? The house is beachy, but not kitchy- soft blues and neutrals, very comfy beds and chairs and sofas. Lots of storage space in the closets, extra blankets and pillows if you need them. We had one terrible rainy day (Tropical Storm Bonnie) but then at 5 pm my son called us out to the deck to see a full arc double rainbow! So I guess you can tell we loved the house, the location and the Outer Banks. This rental is worth every penny for the ocean front location, the pool & hot tub, the charming and comfortable interior and everything you want and need for a great family vacation. Seven thumbs up for our family! We hope to be back in 2018."

  • Sunrises and star gazing! Perfect family getaway

"We loved staying at the property! Renovations looked really nice, our young boys LOVED the bunk beds, and we loved the great views and easy access to the beach. The beach is a short walk from the property, which was convenient for both daytime playing on the beach, and an evening stroll to check out the stars over the ocean. We had a perfect view of the sunrise from our balcony. The property is also close to everything in Duck; shopping, food, and the city playground. Had we been here in the summer we could've biked every where! I felt the property was perfect for our family of 4, but there was room to sleep 2 more on the pull out couch. Some notable attractions to hit up: Corolla for the horses, Kill Devil Hills/Kitty Hawk and the Wright Brother's Memorial, and Jockey's Ridge State Park (sand dunes with some amazing kite flying and hang gliding opportunities, or spectating, and views of the ocean and sound). But of course, you don't even need to leave the property if you're content with the beach! Like I said the property is an easy walk from the beach. The pool wasn't open when we visited, but the area around the pool looked nice. I should also note that the property sits at the end of the road, so it is somewhat secluded, and we did see deer one day! Overall, we had a great time, and enjoyed staying at this nice property. It was perfect for our family."

  • Great house, close to beach!

"Our stay at Seaclusion was wonderful! The house is in a super location, just a few minutes walk from the beach. The house is spacious, and has a wonderful tv area off of the living room full of books, games and puzzles. There are decks everywhere and my husband loved the hammock. They have bicycles available, two wagons to bring your things to the beach, and lots of boogie boards, and sand toys. I am very impressed with how well stocked this lovely home is and I would stay here again in a second!"
