  • Great beach cottage

"We had a great stay here! We came to Rodanthe for a quiet, relaxing vacation with our 4 month old daughter and two pups, and that is exactly what we got. The house is well equipped with anything you would need. We stayed in an cooked dinner every night and the house had everything we needed to cook full meals. There are a few restaurants and shopping just a short distance away (within walking). The beach is at the end of the street and very accessible (even with toting a baby and everything that goes along with one!). The beach cart was VERY helpful in that regard! The owners were very nice and check in/out was a really easy process. The house was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting on the crows nest feeling the ocean breeze with coffee (or cocktails!). I wouldn't hesitate to rent here again. Thanks for having us!"

  • Perfect for all ages in our big family of 19!

"This house was a perfect fit for our family - 8 adults and 11 children ages 2 - 18: the proximity from the beach and to the local sights, the pool table, pool and hot tub, even built in child gates on each level. The beach was beautiful and offered lots of room for our tribe. Waves were suitable for our surfers and the tide pools were great for the toddlers. The number and size of bedrooms and baths were especially good. But, the "public area" on the top floor was just beautiful. Large windows enabled sea sightings even though the house is not situated beachfront. The soaring ceiling, the furniture and layout at the seating area, the wonderful kitchen ( with two dishwashers - Yes!) and dining area all worked together for ample elbow room with our large group. Lisa was most accommodating, answering emailed questions promptly and patiently. We would recommend this house enthusiastically! (As far as "age 55+" - the main living area is on the third floor and if there are any leg/stair issues, this is something to take into consideration.)"

  • Nice location with a lovely view

"This was the first time we had rented a condo at the beach, we are usually camping; but we decided to do something different this trip. I was pleased with the responsiveness of the owner to my request for a booking as well as other questions. The condo was in a nice location and had a lovely view of the dunes and the ocean. When we arrived, we found the condo to be clean and just as it was represented on the website. It was really great to have a full kitchen instead of having to go out for every meal. We really enjoyed the adirondack chairs on the balcony, they were very comfortable. The condo was our base camp for the weekend, as we spent one day traveling to Ocracoke for a visit, as well as sightseeing along Hwy 12. We also really enjoyed the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum. The beach area in front of the condo was nice, lots of shells and not crowded at all. We would definitely rent this condo again, and hope to do so in the future."

  • Nice House, Awesome Owners

"We just returned from an eventful trip to the OBX and stayed in this lovely house in Rodanthe. First week was five kids, two adults, one dog, windy weather, and one of the adults suddenly down for the count with a torn achilles. The owners of this delightful place could not have been more helpful to me in what could have been a disastrous two weeks. They were responsive and sympathetic and helped get everything working even though neither the fireplace nor the pool were technically supposed to be on. As a result, everyone stayed busy, I stayed (relatively) sane and all of the amenities got a workout. Second week we had friends join us and they too loved all of the extras in the house. For a March/Early April (or any time, really) vacation, I'd highly recommend this house. In the event you have less than ideal weather, there is still plenty for everyone to do."
