  • Bright and Spacious with Fantastic View

"All who stayed really enjoyed the bright and spacious property. Such a fantastic up front view of ocean waves with only a minute walk to the edge of the surf. The beds had wonderful mattresses and everyone marveled at how well they slept, so calming to sleep to the sound of the ocean waves. The kitchen was more than adequate and everything needed to make stay at home meals. Can't wait to go back next year!"

  • Bucket List

"My wife and I have stayed at Ebb Tide for several years and have always enjoyed it. We stay for 2 weeks in October and highly recommend spending time at this wonderful house on the beach. After this years stay we can remove experiencing a hurricane off of our bucket list. We arrived at Ebb Tide 45 minutes before Hurricane Matthew hit Hatteras. My thought was that if it got too bad we could head north and get out of it. What I didn't know was that 15 minutes after we got on Route 12 the road was closed to anyone headed north or south. If anyone has any questions about how safe the house is I can tell you that it stood up to 98 mph winds and surf that was going under the house and down the street next to the house without a problem. We lost power for about 6 hours and the cable went out 6 days. It was GREAT!!! No cable, no internet, no noise, hardly any people and no work related stress. The best part was when the storm cleared. Due to the damage north of us Route 12 remained closed for 6 days so the people renting homes for that week could not get to their rental until Thursday afternoon. We basically had the entire beach to ourselves. The fishing turned on and we enjoyed several days of having the beach to ourselves. The weather was beautiful and we had another wonderful 2 weeks. If you are looking for a comfortable little house on the beach, this is the house for you. We have had the privilege of meeting and getting to know the owners. They are wonderful folks who really care about the house, you and making sure that your stay is nothing but the best. We have already reserved our 2 weeks for Oct. 2017. The time will not pass quickly enough for us to get there."

  • Beautiful house with wonderful views!

"This house is absolutely gorgeous!!! It has been renovated rather well and is so so spacious. We had 14 people with 5 of them being children 2-10 years old. There was plenty of opportunity to separate all the "noise" from the children given the different levels with different amenities on each level. The beach is a very quick and easy walk (maybe a true 5 min walk) from the house and the pool is obviously on site. My only complaint with the pool is that the temperature was rather chilly (not heated) and our stay was at the end of september. The hot tub is covered, so even if the weather isn't perfect, it doesn't matter, the hot tub is still an option! The theater room was wonderful as well! We watched zootopia one evening together with all the kids! I will definitely say that due to the location, there is not much around in terms of restaurants and places to go without driving 30+ minutes down the one lane road. However, it does force you to relax, which is just perfect in my opinion! We made a trip to the Bodie Island light house, which is a must see, and we went to the Jockey's Ridge Sand Dunes, which was amazing to see as well! The light house I will add does charge for entering and kids have to be 42" to go up. Great place to stay!! Great owners as well, Dale was a dream to deal with!"

  • Awesome property, lots of amenities, very helpful and accommodating Owner. Perfect getaway!

"Carolina Breeze was the perfect place for our family retreat. There was more than enough room for everybody and having 7 toilets didn't hurt! It was nice to soak in the hot tub and sip some wine our first night after having a long day of driving. The pool was also a great place to unwind after all those hard days on the beach! Speaking of the beach, it's only about a 5 minute lazy stroll down the road to the surf. It's close enough that you can come and go without much care about forgetting anything. The house itself was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The game room downstairs was the mainstay for all the kids. Between the pool and deck outside, pool table, fooseball and the video games that we brought and hooked up on the large TV, plus them having their two bedrooms down there, we never saw them until they were hungry! There was also a mini kitchen down there with a small sink, microwave, and fridge for snacks and drinks. The location is perfect if you're trying to truly get away from the typical "beach scene". It's about a half hour drive to Nags Head and all the supermarkets and beach type attractions (mini-golf, outlet stores, souvenir shops, chain restaurants, etc.) Rodanthe itself has a few local shops and eateries. There are a couple of markets for essentials, and Waves Market does have a nice deli for lunch. There is a small mom and pop gift shop and ice cream place at the end of the road that we would just walk to for a nice treat. There's also the Rodanthe Pier which is about a 10 minute walk down the beach where you can go fishing or just sit and relax. There is parking if you choose to drive there instead and they do rent out equipment to go fishing. We had a wonderful time staying here and only regret that we had to leave! We will be returning in the future and will definitely be giving Vino a call when we do! Stay here, you'll love it!"
