  • Beautiful House Close to the Beach

"We stayed at SeaEsta this past week with my mother, sister, and their families. The owner was a great help before the stay with paperwork and communication, and during the stay when one of the air conditioners acted up one evening. A phone call was immediately answered by the owner and a service tech was sent out the next morning, even though the AC decided to straighten up (tech said it might have just frozen up...was a very hot humid day). She was also very prompt with text messages. I never felt like she was uninterested in her property and guests for even a second. I was nervous at first to rent a house in general this far from home, but I would rent this one again in a heartbeat! The house is very clean and well laid out, pool was sparkling thanks to multiple visits from the pool guy, house is very close to the beach access (which also has pretty good parking if you'd prefer, but it's only a block away), and also close to the Wright Brothers Memorial - you can even see the monument from the kitchen and upstairs bathroom (we are from the Dayton, Ohio area, so this was very cool to see finally!). We ran out of days well before running out of awesome restaurants and shops to visit...such a great location! Overall, if I could rent this house again next week, I would! Thank you for helping us have a great vacation!!!"

  • Cerissa and Gang from VA

"If you are looking for a home to make wonderful family memories, The Sunsetter is your vacation destination. I was fortunate to find this gem 5years ago, and have been renting since. Every year the owners do a wonderful job of either adding new additions or updating. We LOVED the new theater style chairs in the main living room area! The Sunsetter is perfectly located in Nags Head, you can choose to spend the day at the house lounging in the beautiful in-ground pool or you can hop across the highway to the beach access and play at the beach all day. The pool has a solar cover and it keeps the water warm and ready to dive in! The house is set back and the surroundings are quiet, perfect for early morning or late afternoon walk through the beautiful area. You are conveniently located to get to all the best stops and shops. Short drive to Duck Donuts at MP 8, Food Lion and Harris Teeter less than ten minutes down the road. We took a trip to Duck and Manteo during this past visit, and we were there in no time from the Sunsetter location. The new dining room table and the many amenities in the kitchen make the house perfect for cooking or getting food from the many close restaurants (Awful Arthur's, Chilli Peppers, Henrys, Seasalt Grill, Trio, Captain Frank's, Black Pelican, Spanky's) and bringing it back to the house and enjoying! You are also located right near the fishing pier, if you and the family want to spend a fun day on the pier. Great location also for family fun activities. Putt putt course, ice cream shops, fudge shops and wonderful shopping!!! There are also multiple decks to enjoy conversing or even enjoy a meal out on. The owners are wonderful and available at anytime during your visit, if you needed to contact them. My family and I have made many wonderful memories over the past 5 years at The Sunsetter, and we will continue to do so. Even though we were just there visit, we will be enjoying again in May! Thanks John and family for being so wonderful and helping us have amazing vacations at The Sunsetter."

  • Great stay!

"The home was perfect for family. There were lots of board games and toys in the home that kept my kids busy inside. The downstairs (under the house) was fabulous. My husband grilled and they had outside toys we played with for hours. The beds were comfortable. The house is in a great location. 5 minute walk to the beach. Hariet was thorough and very sweet."

  • Beautiful Stay

"The cottage is adorable. While a sand dune blocks the view of the ocean, the view is not disappointing. I watched the sun rise every morning - which was absolutely beautiful. It was also nice to watch the pelican's fly over in the morning and the evening. The deck is a nice size and has 4 chairs and two side tables. The location is also peaceful and quiet. There was also plenty of parking. The inside of the cottage is very nice and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked and there are plenty of bath towels, hand towels, and face clothes on hand. There were 6 people in our group (me, my husband, and 4 young adults in their early 20's). Everyone loved that the cottage was beach front. The pool (which ranges from 3 ft to 9 ft) was also very popular especially in the evening. A couple of recommendations 1) installing at least one full length mirror (perhaps on the inside of the closet in the main living area); 2) having a stronger Wi-Fi connection (the connection was very weak and spotty - we all relied on our data plans) Great stay and nice staff over at the Days Inn."
