  • An awesome place to stay!

"The house was wonderful. The whole family enjoyed it very much. We even had a visitor on the dock, a Great Blue Heron. We all loved the kayaking and canoeing and fishing off the pier. We also enjoyed relaxing & looking out from the screened in porch over the sound. Just everything was beautiful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home."

  • Beautiful Stay

"The cottage is adorable. While a sand dune blocks the view of the ocean, the view is not disappointing. I watched the sun rise every morning - which was absolutely beautiful. It was also nice to watch the pelican's fly over in the morning and the evening. The deck is a nice size and has 4 chairs and two side tables. The location is also peaceful and quiet. There was also plenty of parking. The inside of the cottage is very nice and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked and there are plenty of bath towels, hand towels, and face clothes on hand. There were 6 people in our group (me, my husband, and 4 young adults in their early 20's). Everyone loved that the cottage was beach front. The pool (which ranges from 3 ft to 9 ft) was also very popular especially in the evening. A couple of recommendations 1) installing at least one full length mirror (perhaps on the inside of the closet in the main living area); 2) having a stronger Wi-Fi connection (the connection was very weak and spotty - we all relied on our data plans) Great stay and nice staff over at the Days Inn."

  • Wedding/Reunion Best Choice!!!

"We stayed here for a week with a small group of family and friends then more came in Thursday and Friday for a wedding on Friday evening. They had no qualms with us having a couple of dinners at the house for the whole group and the Days Inn next door (which manages the property) even let us park our overflow there. Another word about the Days Inn, having them next door as the go to made issues that pop up so EASY. Our wi-fi was acting up one morning and someone was right over to look at it. (turned out to be a problem with the DSL that was resolved before the guy got there) On our second to last morning one of the coffee pots died. I walked over, reported it, walked back went to my room for something and came out to being told "Someone just brought over a coffee pot." That's service! The house itself... Just look at the pictures. Every room was great. The master suite was fantastic. No neighbors. NO NEIGHBORS!!!! I had to find a place completely online from Phoenix, AZ so I looked at pictures, satellite imagery, reviews... anything I could get my hands on. Almost every place I looked at for this size, with these amenities and in this price range were all right on top of one another. This place has NO NEIGHBORS! And the public access next door wasn't a problem at all either. I had visions of John Candy eating breakfast in the movie Summer Rental with everyone looking in and asking to use his bathroom but we had nary a problem all week. I don't know when we will be back to the Outer Banks or with how many people but if the needs and circumstance ever are the same we would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

  • Wonderful KDH vacation home!

"This vacation home truly felt like a "Home" and not a glorified hotel as some rentals tend to. This home is very well maintained, nicely furnished, and in a great central location with a very easy walk to the beach. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, cookware etc. The back yard, with the clothesline to hang wet towels at the end of the day was a great help. The home is spacious, yet cozy at the same time. Most importantly.. it was CLEAN very clean, I can be picky and there was nothing I could say negative about that! The beautiful tree in the back yard, kept it shaded and comfortable to be out there. And the balcony off the master was a great place to enjoy the full moon and a glass of wine after a long day at the beach! Suzan was very easy to deal with, always pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this rental to anyone, and would choose it again myself!"
