  • Close to everything!

"We stayed at the Atlantic Inn coming in for a family event, staying on the back porch. The location is close to the beach, and across the street from a GREAT place for breakfast (Stack 'em High Pancakes - but get there early - the line starts pretty quickly after they open). The unit includes a small kitchenette with a sink, coffee maker, small fridge and microwave, and plenty of storage. There's a futon in the sitting area, and small eating table. The bed was comfy, and there's access to plenty of towels for the shower that you can swap out when you need to. There's coolers, umbrellas and chairs for the beach, but remember to bring beach towels. You have access to a full kitchen with everything you need to cook and eat if you'd like, an ice machine to fill up your coolers, outdoor showers to rinse off after the beach, and a large back yard. George is only a phone call away for anything you need, and was there to let us into our unit when we got into town a little earlier than we thought. Rated a 4 because there's really no place to hang clothes other than a hook over the door to the next unit, and no door between the bedroom and sitting area, so if you're with someone who is on a different sleeping schedule than you, it makes it a little hard. But still a good place to stay that's convenient to everything - Wright Brothers museum down the street, Hatteras not far away, and a 5 minute walk to the beach. And don't miss Duck Donuts!!!"

  • Awesome vacation

"I waited until the last minute to rent a property for a family reunion and was very fortunate to find LaGrande Slam available. I couldn't have found a more beautiful house or a more comfortable location. The house was even more comfortable than described. The house has every amenity you will need - there is not an item you don't have at your disposal. The owner is very friendly to work with - customer service exemplified. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance and the walking paths are a nice plus. Overall we had a refreshing and relaxing time and I will definitely revisit in the future."

  • A Little Uneven

"Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is in a great location and for the most part is a decent stay; however, given the price, the house could use some updating and better upkeep. A few of the outside chairs were broken and many of the lightbulbs needed replacing. Also the mattress in the upstairs bedroom is terribly uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. Finally, the stairs inside are very steep so this house would not work well for people with knee issues."

  • Just perfect for us

"Our family of 5 spent just under a week here and loved every minute. Our kids are 5,3,and 18 mos. We easily walked to the beach and used a wagon to haul our stuff using the beach access to the left. The location was awesome. The brewery was super fun and kids can play and run around outside there. ..There's an awesome pirate jungle gym. We happened to go to slice pizzeria next door on the Monday we were there and cheese slices were only a dollar in the off season and the other types were sooooo good. We used the south access of jockeys ridge several times so our kids could play in the shallow, calm water. And if you happen to be a YMCA member the Y was awesome, too. They honor reciprocal memberships starting Oct 1. Our older kids even did a kid yoga class and had a blast. The childcare room there was big and fun and our kids are still talking about the tree house in it. Tip Sea is clean and rooms are plenty big. Everything you could want is in the kitchen. We will definitely go back! My only suggestion...a gate for the top of the stairs! Thanks, Debra!"
