  • Great beach cottage!

"This is the third rental I've booked through VRBO and I always leave a very honest review. My guests and I were all very pleased with this cottage. It was very clean and well equipped with most everything you will need. The first day we arrived I was worried because it was 80 degrees in the house, seeing as it's Auguest and between 90-100 degrees outside it really wasn't that bad. The living room and master both had ceiling fans so that helped too. At night it got down to the 70s. You will need to provide your own bed and bath linens, TP, paper towels, trash bags, food and drink and that's about it. The cottage is fully stocked with anything else you could possibly need. Both bathrooms are very clean and much larger than most cottages in the area. There's also an outdoor shower which is great after a hot long day at the beach. There's a ground patio, wrap around deck, and crows nest which we all enjoyed ! A very short walk to the beach access that isn't very crowded at all. Located at mile post 9, it's very close to everything on the strip. Dean was helpful and answered at almost anytime 24/7! The price for this rental per week is AMAZING for all it offers and the location. Thank you for another great OBX vacation !"

  • Wonderful stay!

"We have never been to the OBX before and had an amazing time. There is so much to do there and Kill Devil Hills is right in the middle of it all. The house, although older in appearance and décor, was clean and comfortable. We had two adults and 5 kids for most of the week and then added two adults for the last weekend and still felt there was plenty of room. One thing I will mention in case you have very young children is that although the beach is within walking distance, you do have to cross a very busy highway to get there. There is a traffic light and crosswalk so it was not an issue for us. Also there is a parking lot right by the beach access if you prefer to drive. We never had a problem finding parking. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Brenda for all the tips on what not to miss!"

  • An awesome place to stay!

"The house was wonderful. The whole family enjoyed it very much. We even had a visitor on the dock, a Great Blue Heron. We all loved the kayaking and canoeing and fishing off the pier. We also enjoyed relaxing & looking out from the screened in porch over the sound. Just everything was beautiful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home."

  • Amazing!

"Wonderful place to stay! Deborah was wonderful to work with. We needed a last minute rental and she was very accommodating. The location was quiet and out of the hustle and bustle. We had plenty of room to relax. I will be back and have told friends and family of the location. It was perfect!"
