"I am a confirmed fan of The Lazy Susan - and of the owner, Susan. This was my fourth stay at the cozy beach cottage since this past November! I went with a high school friend, who is a favorite traveling companion. Another friend jumped in at the last minute, who was celebrating her birthday the day we arrived. I love the whole feel of the cottage - the high, angular ceilings, the unique murals, the simple and comfortable furnishings, the light streaming in every morning through the living room windows . . . It's very roomy for three single people, if everyone wants their own bedroom, but could easily accommodate many more, in the case of couples/kids. I love the location - just a short walk from Bay Drive, where you can watch awesome sunsets from the public gazebo or just gaze at the sparkling water. My friends and I had a very full, long weekend: We celebrated my friend's birthday at Aqua, a very cool bay-side restaurant in Duck, went to a yoga class at the local YMCA, attended a unique weekend festival (BREWTAG - you'll have to Google it to believe it!), ate wonderful food all weekend long, enjoyed coffee/wine (not together) on the deck, visited the beach for a beautiful sunrise, and more. A first for me was foolishly volunteering to climb into a knockerball that a group 20-something guys had up on Jockey's Ridge dunes and try to roll down the dunes. Oh well, I tried! Susan is a very warm, responsive owner who maintains the cottage exceptionally well. She's been extremely responsive any time I've needed to reach her about anything related to an upcoming stay. I would highly recommend this cottage. I'm pretty selective about where I stay at the beach, and since this was my fourth trip back in 10 months, I'm clearly a BIG fan. Thanks, Susan, for all your time, attention, and caring for your renters. Obviously, I'll be back!"
