  • Great getaway on Carova Beach!

"We brought together 6 adults and one infant in the Oasis. It fit our family perfectly.... bathrooms for each couple, two living spaces and large deck spaces. Each space was decorated lovely. The kitchen is simple, but adequate and the house was clean. We drove back into Corolla one day for a charter fishing trip and another day just to explore. We planned the outings close to low tide so the beach driving wasn't a problem. The house does sit behind the dunes with a small view of the ocean, but walking over the dune was easy. I'm a grandmother to the infant and had no trouble walking over it with him in the backpack. This stretch of the beach was not heavily used and we truly enjoyed the privacy. The beach was incredibly clean with numerous shells and the water was clear and warm enough to wade. At least 2 or 3 wild horses grazed nearby daily. The house also has vacant lots on each side so you have privacy from neighbors, very quiet atmosphere. We would rent again from Morry and Nina. They were very prompt (replies within 2 hours) and helpful via email. The hot tub was serviced when we arrived and the propane for the grill replenished mid-week (even though it still had propane)."

  • Iowan's celebrating Retirement in OBX

"Our family enjoyed such a special week at this cottage. The pictures and location are exactly how we found this cozy home, plus more! The weather was incredible all week. Larry and Katherine were so accommodating. Our grandchildren range from 1 yr to 17 yrs old and everyone was excited with this cottage, because it was so large, you could have your own space at any time. We can't wait to come back to eat Crab and enjoy the beach."

  • Peace at the Beach

"Our family of 12 (including grandparents, children and grandchildren) has vacationed at the Weaver's house for 6 years. We look forward to our Duck vacation and making memories every summer. The house is hidden on a quiet court giving you a sense of privacy. It has plenty of parking and a big yard. With bedrooms on 3 levels there is a sense of privacy, even with 12 people in the house. The house is very well furnished (including 2 refrigerators), clean, and accommodating. In this natural community, don't be surprised to see a doe and her fawn(s) in the yard, or a turtle in the road. It's a very short walk to the beach, which is convenient whether you're headed there for sunbathing, fishing, kite flying, walking on the beach, or just sitting in a chair, watching and listening to the waves while the sun sets. The beach sand is very fine and is great for walking barefoot or making sand castles. Sitting on the deck drinking coffee in the morning while watching the ocean is a peaceful way to start the day. Star gazing at night on the roof top deck is a favorite of all. The Weaver's USA flag, which is lit at night, leaves you with a sense of pride, patriotism and appreciation to be able to vacation on the Atlantic Ocean and the family friendly Town of Duck. Needless to say, we love the Weaver's house and Duck, NC."
