  • Circle R

"We just returned from our week at the Circle R in Southern Shores. We are a family of four with two young children and we chose the Circle R for it's amenities, location, and price. We were not disappointed at all. The house is an older home, but has been maintained well and was very clean. The posted photos are a true representation of the property and the home owner is as easy to work with as anyone I've ever rented from in the past. We had a last minute change/need and it went through without any issue at all. The kids enjoyed the well maintained pool in the back yard and I enjoyed the privacy the lot offers from the few surrounding homes. This home isn't anything fancy, but it's well worth the cost and you get exactly what you are advertised when trying to make a decision. We choose to drive out to the beaches north of Corolla, but beach access is only a few blocks away. The Friday/Friday turnaround may seem odd, but you will understand exactly why this is offered for the Circle R come Saturday morning. Another benefit is the second refrigerator in the pool house, giving you plenty of room to store all the food, drinks, and ice you need for your stay. We frequently seen deer in and around the yard, my wife even walked to within five feet of one. I would have no problem recommending the Circle R to family or friends."

  • Perfect for all ages in our big family of 19!

"This house was a perfect fit for our family - 8 adults and 11 children ages 2 - 18: the proximity from the beach and to the local sights, the pool table, pool and hot tub, even built in child gates on each level. The beach was beautiful and offered lots of room for our tribe. Waves were suitable for our surfers and the tide pools were great for the toddlers. The number and size of bedrooms and baths were especially good. But, the "public area" on the top floor was just beautiful. Large windows enabled sea sightings even though the house is not situated beachfront. The soaring ceiling, the furniture and layout at the seating area, the wonderful kitchen ( with two dishwashers - Yes!) and dining area all worked together for ample elbow room with our large group. Lisa was most accommodating, answering emailed questions promptly and patiently. We would recommend this house enthusiastically! (As far as "age 55+" - the main living area is on the third floor and if there are any leg/stair issues, this is something to take into consideration.)"
