  • Multi-generational beach week

"Our party consisted of 6 adults and 4 small children from 4 households. The House was nice and clean. Vacuum available for as needed clean-up. The 2 masters were great. Lots of space. The room with 2 doubles was incredibly cramped for my husband and I and our 2 kiddos (3&5)...a little misleading from the photo. The room with the bunk beds was a single over double and then an additional trundle underneath (which we didn't discover until the day we left because a single in our party was staying in that room). The kitchen was fully stocked. Games and puzzles for the kiddos. We didn't use the DVDs as we were there during the Olympics, and the TV pretty much stayed tuned to the games. The walk to the beach was really convenient. Our 3 year olds and 5 year olds had no trouble and it was close enough my husband would sometimes make a trip before us to set up camp and then come back to help gather the rest of the group. The pool is literally next door which was also great for the kids, however it was really busy every time we were there...probably prime time for children. There is no hot tub at the house despite it being in the post and mentioned in prior reviews. We could see the outline of where it used to be on the concrete. This was disappointing for us since there isn't a hot tub at the pool either. There was sufficient parking for our 4 vehicles --2 sedans, a minivan, and a pick-up truck. With smaller vehicles you may be able to fit 5. There were a few beach chairs and sand toys which was nice not to have to bring from home. Wi-fi seemed to work well on all our various devices but best in certain parts of the house. Air conditioner was good. Some in our party were cold with it set on 74. Hot water was good. Good shower pressure except in extra bathroom between bunk room and double room. Owner was AMAZING! Super responsive -- answered questions really quickly. We were able to get into the house by 2pm on check-in which was perfect for nap time and allowed us to have an extra day on the beach. Overall, great house and great trip!"

  • Tucked away homey gem in Nags Head

"Upon arrival our family was greeted by Jesse, the owner of the property and a very nice young man. He took the time to give us a tour of the home along with all other ammenities such as bicycles, kayak, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas that he provides. The linens and towels were new and very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all things needed to cook a great family meal, as well as a gas grill and picnic tables for us to use outside. His home is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood which is walking or biking distance to a public park as well as the beach and many restaurants and coffee shops. Jesse has the best of entertainment including netflix, hulu, and as many cable channels as you could want for those relaxing evenings when you got just a tad too much sun for the day. Jesse has a sweet and adorable cat named Latch who hung out with us on our visit. My family felt as if we were right at home, and Jesse was always available if we needed anything or had questions. Definately our go to home for next summer!!!"

  • Great Location!

"Great house with a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 30 second walk to the grocery store. House was very clean and we loved the outside shower and under deck seating area. This was a dog-friendly home and you wouldn't even know it's so well take care of. Carol was so helpful and easy to work with. Made me feel very comfortable as a VRBO first time customer. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a home in Nags Head."

  • Perfect little house - great location, super clean

"My family decided last minute to go to the Outer Banks for spring break - we figured it'd be warm enough to be outside, but still cold enough to avoid crowds. It was perfect! Almost everything was open, but we had no waits at restaurants, etc. So glad we decided to stay here - the location was great, tons within walking distance and a central location to get to all of the amazing National Parks and sites in the area. Right across the bridge from Roanoke Island, lots of amazing restaurants up and down the Outer Banks in Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, and so on. It was our first time to the Outer Banks and we loved it! The house itself was perfect for our family of four - our little boys loved playing out on the deck and the layout is so nice and open. Everything was very updated and clean. We were really impressed for how great it was was for the price! Thanks for such a great stay - this house will definitely be a part of our family memories! :)"
