  • Excellent

"This rental is great for a family of 4 with two smaller children (for the bunk beds). Bed linens and towels were provided an the home was perfect for our long weekend getaway! We were actually really close to beach access across the street and the lake view was beautiful! This home is also in walking distance to the boardwalk which we did on a couple occasions. The kids also enjoyed the pool! Would definitely rent again in the future!"

  • Just Perfect

"Excellent property. Locations, decor of condo, view of an access to the beach, all were just "perfect". Would love to rent in the future. Also, the payment process was professional with no hitches."

  • Would definitely stay here again.

"This property is in a great location. The owner has maintained the unit very well and we were very pleased. It was spacious enough for the six of us (4 adults/2 children). Some very nice extras - beach chairs, beach towels, well furnished kitchen, a nice notebook with restaurants and local attractions. Beds were comfortable. The condo facility was very nice with indoor/outdoor pools and super beach access. Downtown Carolina Beach is one mile away, and everything is within a 10 minute drive."

  • A No-brainer Vacation!

"If you are looking for an affordable, relaxing week at the beach, this is it! We drove from Maryland with our two girls, age 8 and 12. Teresa’s condo is truly a no-brainer vacation....easy parking, steps to the pool, and so quick to the beach. All you have to do is pack sheets, towels, and a bathing suit! Teresa is super easy to work with and her pictures on VRBO are very accurate. We felt very safe. I think this condo would also be great for couples and those traveling alone. We usually rent a small house, but wanted to be on the beach for this trip, and we were thrilled with our choice! On hot mornings we would stay off the beach ….visited the aquarium, took the ferry to Southport, did a little shopping, went to lunch. We loved Fish Bites. There was so much to do, but mostly we loved the beach. The afternoon and early evening was so pleasant on the large beach. Powder soft sand, warm ocean to swim, and pleasant breeze to build a sand castle OR read a book in a chair. We set our beach stuff closer to the lifeguard stand (a short distance to the right). My girls couldn’t get enough of the water. And it was warm enough for mom to swim too! The boardwalk was within walking distance. While we didn’t find too much to do there, we did venture to Britt’s donuts twice. The line moved fast, and the warm donuts were definitely a treat. As for Teresa’s condo, the beds are super comfy, and I personally liked that there was no television in the kids room. The condo was very cozy and relaxing. We cooked in a few nights and found everything we needed, but really spent most of the time on the beach. The deck is nice, and you can definitely hear the ocean loud and clear, and see a bit of the water if you are sitting at the right angle. We pulled the two extra folding captain’s chairs out and were able to eat a pizza or drink coffee on the deck. The light on the deck was great in the evening as my older daughter and I could sit out and play cards listening to the ocean. On Thursday night we went out 2 minutes before the fireworks and were able to see perfectly from the beach right there – no need to head to the lake. So much fun and a special memory!!! The pool was clean and comfortable as well and not too crowded the week we went. The complex was also quiet in the evenings, which was great for the kids sleeping – since their room shares a wall with the hallway. I would definitely return to A Place at the Beach."
