  • Loved this House!

"I wrote a long review yesterday on Home-Away too but see it didn't post? We just spent a week at Tern Inn! What a Lovely LARGE beautiful home on the oceanfront in Holden. Decorated so lovely and the elevator was so helpful with our 12 year old Yellow Lab Cody. Leah our Hound Husky is 4 and had no problems doing the steps to the BR's and 2nd Den upstairs. The long huge deck has many many wooden rockers and a large picnic table. I was hoping for a lounge chair or two to sunbathe up there but we didn't have any. They also don't have low beach chairs but they have camp chairs to take to beach. The kitchen is very large and has all you need for your vacation. The dishwasher made some noise so we didn't use it and Debbie knows about it. The BR's need plastic hangers instead of wire ones but she is aware of that too. They just dredged the beach and shell collecting was so much fun. We got all kinds of large Welke's and many other type of unique shells. The island was sooooo quiet, we had the whole beach to ourselves. We went to Calabash One afternoon shopping next to the delicious Boundry House Rest. Also went to dock and bought huge shrimp and grouper fresh and cooked at home. Great prices. Seafood Barn has great LUMP crab cakes. Go to Lighthouse Gifts back over bridge on right in a small house. Cindy has the most unique stuff there. Loved the Tern Inn house and hope to get back to it again someday. 70's and sunny all week too. Enjoy this GREAT HOME!"

  • Wonderful home with tons of space right on the beach!

"Our family had an amazing week in this home. We used the upstairs den as a 6th bedroom for kiddos and the outside enclosed shower was perfect for keeping sand out of the house. The kitchen is big enough for a few people to cook together while others hang out on barstools at the island and keep the chefs company. The beach was wife open and we had tons of space for bocce ball, corn hole, the tents and all the kids sand toys. No battling for a spot on the sand like at other beaches. Elizabeth, the owner, was kind and attentive to work with too. Very accommodating, down to the lists of instructions of how to use the TVs to the spiral bound planning book she sent us in the mail prior to the trip to help us be organized and prepared. My family would absolutely love to stay here again!"

  • Bright, spacious, clean home right on the beach! Who could ask for more?

"My wife and I along with my mother in law have vacationed the past four years in a cozy condo in Wrightsville Beach and had always enjoyed ourselves. It was not big but it suited our needs until last year and we had more than a few rainy days. After being in tight quarters for a few days together we thought we would try something different this year and rent a house instead. What a great decision! We all loved having our own space, the girls loved being able to walk right out of the bedrooms and onto the second level deck to read. I really liked the short walk to get to the beach! We spent pretty much every morning and evening walking along the shore looking for shells and sea glass and came away with quite a bit. The kitchen had everything we needed and was nice and clean. The dishwasher was handy to have! And I really liked being able to take a nice hot shower using the outside one coming straight in from the beach before even going inside. As far as the local places to eat and see went, we really enjoyed the short drive to so many different places to eat on either side of the causeway bridge, none of us had a bad meal our entire stay. And there were plenty of souvenir shops to visit as well. Food Lion was very convenient too. Everyone we ran into seemed so friendly - I felt much more at home in Holden Beach versus Wrightsville Beach. All in all we had a great trip and hated leaving Saturday morning. Thanks to Beth and Bill for allowing us to stay in their beautiful home!"

  • Family Getaway

"Thank you for letting our family stay in your beautiful beach home. This is truly an amazing beach house. We enjoyed everything about this beach house. The views, the location to the beach, the well stocked kitchen and all of the little extras. Our dog really enjoyed the gate we found in the closet which let him stay out on the deck with us. The owners were great and responded to all of our emails and request in a timely manner. We will definitely recommend this home and hope to rent again in the future."
