  • Would give this 10+ stars if possible!! Family vacation for 3 generations - FABULOUS =:)

"We cannot say enough GREAT things about this house! From the large, comfortably equipped front porch, the huge dining table, the AMAZING & beautiful well stocked kitchen, the comfortable & accommodating living room, the incredible private downstairs master suite, the 2 upstairs master suites with gorgeous walk-in showers, and the 2 other bedrooms...this home was lacking NOTHING!! The house was spotless, with a wonderful beachy feel Unexpected extras just made our stay even more comfortable! It's location made getting to the beach so easy. We loved having the beach wagon to haul our things! And the bikes were great for riding around the area. It was very nice to have access to beach chairs & other items. Even the grill was professional! We loved the location - close to the pier, but still quiet enough to relax. Finding shark's teeth was a quite exciting bonus!! We have already recommended this place to several friends, and are looking forward to our next stay in this perfect beach getaway! Joe & Beverly, the owners, answered our questions promptly and were always easily reached & friendly - especially when I called to tell them just how GORGEOUS their home was as soon as we arrived =:) I must highly recommend a restaurant near the pier: Freddie's Italian Restaurant!! Reservations are a MUST, and the food is OUTSTANDING!! We thoroughly enjoyed our first vacation at Kure Beach, due to the wonderful accommodations & location of this amazing rental home!!! Thanks Joe & Beverly for sharing your beautiful home with us - we are already excitedly anticipating our next stay here...it just doesn't get any better than this!!!!"

  • Great Beach Home

"This is the second time my family and I stayed at the Adams' home. Its location is within easy walking distance to a few restaurants and the fishing pier, and it's just a short drive to Fort Fisher. The quaint town of Southport is just a ferry ride away, and it's a great place to shop and sightsee. We like the Maritime Museum and the Old Brunswick Jail. Nature lovers would enjoy a hike through Carolina State Park. It offers scenic views of the Cape Fear River and a nice marina as well. The NC Aquarium is both fun and educational. This year they had a very cool dinosaur exhibit. Most of our time was spent on the beach; we searched for shark teeth and shells by day and ghost crabs by night. The kids (adults too) spent hours riding the waves on boogie boards or body surfing. The beach was clean and the water warm. The main deck overlooking the ocean is a great gathering place, and the outdoor sound system enhances the outdoor experience. This home has everything a family could possibly want in a vacation home. The large kitchen opens into the living area making it convenient for food preparation and family interaction. The older children liked their private downstairs quarters with access to the ping pong table and other games. The boys also preferred using the outdoor shower rather than the one in their own bathroom. The entire home is tastefully decorated and comfortable. It was a pleasure meeting Bill Adams; he's very personable and welcoming. There's no other place I would stay when visiting Kure Beach!"

  • Beautiful home with amentities gallor!

"The home is gorgeous, clean, and very well cared for. Kitchen is stocked with more than you'd imagine! More cooking utensils and supplies than I even have at home. The lack of basic kitchen utensils always seemed to be something we've had to deal with in the past renting elsewhere. Our large family has plenty of space. The pool is so close and beach was a very short walk. Well stocked beach and pool toy/supplies. Serine porches. We rented bikes and rode around the neighborhood. Owner was a breeze to work with! Overall fantastic experience :)"

  • Relaxing weekend with spectacular ocean front view from inside and out.

"First of all the owner was very accommodating as due to the past storm we were unable to make it down on our Friday check in. This cut our long weekend short. The owner allowed us to to have a late check out by 5 pm on Monday so we could enjoy an extra day on the beach, which we did. The place was clean, well kept, and had everything you needed. Love the hardwoods in the main area. Being an end unit on the third floor, the back porch was more spacious. The breeze and view of the ocean was amazing. The beach work over the spring paid off as there was actually a beach to enjoy at high and low tide. You can't say that if you go further down the beach heading toward Kure Park as those condos were surrounded by massive sand bags. The walk to the beach was right outside of the unit. Enjoyed the local food. Seafood at Michael's was excellent. Pizza at My Cousin Vinny's was tasty. Breakfast at Kure Dinner is a must. Small place but good food. Try the egg, bacon and cheese on their biscuits. It hits the spot. Can't forget the hot donuts at Britt's. OH my were they good. Decent walk to Pier and short drive to the boardwalk at Carolina Beach. No need to bring chairs or boards as the unit has it all in the garage area. Definitely will stay again."
