  • We love The Remedy and have stayed there for the past 3 years.

"The Remedy is a beautifully decorated two bedroom condo that's in a short walking distance from the beach. We like it because it is on the top floor of the Ocean Walk Condos so you can't hear people walking around above you while you sleep. It has a full kitchen loaded with pots, pans and utensils if you want to cook in. It's walking distance to the Food Lion Supermarket, Waves Beach store and Pirate's Deck Oyster bar. Oak Island is a wonderful beach community to vacation at if you don't want a built up tourist town. Quiet, and layed back. The Remedy is the perfect get away to retreat to after a long day of fun in the sun!"

  • Beautiful family-friendly home!

"This house was perfect for traveling with my family. Traveling with an infant can be overwhelming because of all the extra gear. This house made it easy! There was everything you need when traveling with a baby. There is a pack n'play- complete with raised bassinet and diaper organization station and a Diaper Dekor diaper pail in the front bedroom with the best ocean view! For feeding time there is a high chair and bottle drying rack with a bottle brush. They really have thought of everything because there is even a jogging stroller to take down to the beach so our personal stroller doesn't get full of sand! The only thing we had to bring was a sheet for the pack n'play. The house itself is so fun. The large open main floor area was great for relaxing and being able to be together while cooking in the kitchen. The kitchen is so nice. The raised countertops make working at the counter a breeze! The back deck has a gate at the top of the stairs so we could be out there and not have to worry about the little one falling down the stairs. The short walk to the beach made it super easy to go watch the sunrise and sunset every day. Going to Beana's for breakfast was delicious and super affordable. We could even dress up and go for a nice dinner at Island Way. There are a few options for groceries that are a quick drive so staying in to cook was easy too! This island has everything and this house makes us want to come back and visit again and again! When the house comes with everything you need, it makes travel a breeze!"

  • Even better than expected-well appointed. Loved it

"We (adults and dog)thoroughly enjoyed the Island Love Shack. It was even cuter than expected. Fun decor with beachy theme in good taste! Very clean and well-organized. What impressed me was that it was so well appointed. There was nothing lacking in accoutrements. The kitchen had everything needed to cook. Appliances were all in good working order. Bed was very comfortable and had high quality linens. Living room and sun room had comfortable seating. We enjoyed the big screen TV (smart TV with NetFlix and Amazon) in the evening). Neighborhood was quiet and it was lovely to have our little dog with us. Easy to get to Southport and the ferry to Fort Fisher. We will definitely stay at the Love Shack when we return to Oak Island."
