  • Great experience

"We had a wonderful week at Sweet Tee. This was our first experience with and we were alittle nervous. But it worked out great. The house was great - perfect for our group. The pool is wonderful."

  • We Keep Coming Back!

"We adore 8 Dare Street, we have stayed here a few times with both family and friends. It is our home away from home; has all of our needs for a relaxing beach getaway. Every visit is better than the one before, the owners are easy to work with, understanding, reachable and always answers any of our questions. We enjoy the location of being close to the beach and on the canal; we bring our boat and love using the dock out back. Plenty of parking for many guests, the updated rooms are decorated adorably with lots of sleeping arrangements making it easy for a big family to enjoy being under one roof."

  • Great! Would love to stay again!

"We had a wonderful time staying here! Albeit, Tropical Storm Hermine paid a visit as well, the trip was a blast! We thought it was ocean FRONT, and the condo building is, but the actual condo is ocean VIEW only, but that was okay, we could still sit on the balcony and see, smell and hear the ocean! The owner was great at responding and working with us. Since the first part of our trip's weather was dreary & rainy, and no one else was booking the place until the following weekend, he was kind enough to let us stay for 2 more days at a discount! The condo itself was decorated with a beachy decor and felt like home. And the bed in the master bedroom was TOO COMFORTABLE! I didn't want to get out of it and get out on the beach, it was so comfy! If you like to eat fresh seafood, you don't have to go all the way to Calabash, you can go to the base of the bridge and go to Ocean Isle Fishing Company (OIFC)! They're on the waterway, beautiful view, great service & DELICIOUS FOOD!"

  • Recent stay at canal cabin, Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.

"Very clean, roomy 4-bedroom 2 1/2 bath beach-type house on inlet of Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway a short 1 1/2 block to Atlantic Ocean, via a public access route with showers to remove sand and other debris nearby. The VRBO listing was 100% accurate; when we arrived a cleaning service had several hours previously performed an excellent cleaning of the facility. The owner was very motivated to insure that our stay was enjoyable. We experienced no maintenance nor other problems during our 7-day occupancy. The rental rate was competitive in view of renting a large "cabin" close to the beach during peak summertime and other aspects of the rental process (payment options, cancellation insurance, etc.) were clearly defined and were reasonable. The living/dining area opens to a porch with ample seating, this faces the Waterway inlet which is approximately 30 yards downhill from the cabin. There is a dock (with 2 wooden benches for seating) which is ideal for fishing or just sitting on the water's edge. The dock is not presently outfitted to anchor a large motorized watercraft nor is there a ladder for easy climbing out of the water after swimming. We did not swim in the canal but noticed other nearby renters doing same, the water does not appear to be over 10' in depth. The kitchen is adequately furnished and the owner provided ample cooking and dining appliances and implements. There is no garbage disposer but a robust dishwasher and a large refrigerator/freezer which worked very well. The large dining room table was more than adequate for meals, board games, and writing. The living room is well-appointed and Direct TV with DVD players in the living room and all 4 bedrooms is a nice addition. The renters must supply their own linens (bed and bathroom) but the bedding (pillows, blankets, mattresses) were satisfactory. The "widow's watch," accessible from the sitting room adjoining the master bedroom on the upper story provides a great site to sit after dark and gaze at the canal and the sky; there were no chairs there, necessitating carrying porch furniture upstairs for sitting. A large sturdy picnic table and a gas grill adjacent to the 2-car carport were nice additions. Also the owner has provided an outdoor shower (similar to that near ocean accesses) which is enclosed for privacy. Trash pick-up 3 times weekly during the summer was appreciated. Overall our experience was very positive and we plan to return in the future."
