  • Wonderful stay. Will be returning!

"The town home was very clean and located in a very convenient location. It is located in a very quiet complex and the town home is above Fred's realty business. Great stay for vacationers wanting close to the beach (calabash, ocean isle, myrtle, and sunset were all just a few minute drive) also great location for golfers. We ate at Fibber McGee's pub located in basically the same building and it was fantastic. There was a free concert just across the street that we enjoyed as well. The atmosphere here is wonderful and Fred was very considerate and friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay and more than likely will be returning."

  • Fantastic, laid back get away

"After staying in 3-bedroom condos for several years, my extended family decided this was the year to rent a house. We had simply grown too large with six adults and three kids to have anything close to a relaxing vacation in cramped quarters. Plus, the kids are now teen and pre-teens who need some space of their own. Six on the Beach was perfect for that. Three bedrooms with queen beds allowed each adult couple to have their own private bedroom. The bunk bedroom gave the kids their space. The dining area fit the adults at the table and the kids at the bar pretty well. There isn't space for everyone to come together in the living room but that was never a problem. We were able to spread out in the living room, the main deck, the upper deck, the widow's walk and the loft area. Space is not a problem. The beach is fairly easy walk. The access on 2nd Street has stairs at the beach side so be aware you're going to carry your carts for that. The pier is a couple blocks over as is a couple small shops and ice cream. If you're looking for close by restaurants, you won't find them on the island. There a couple of places but most of the restaurants will be a 10 to 20 minute drive to the mainland or Calabash. Communications and service from the owner were a breeze. Very responsive and courteous. Easily one of the best owners I've interacting with for vacation rentals. I thoroughly enjoyed my Sunset Beach vacation and highly recommend the location and Six on the Beach. A list of activities and attractions will inevitably miss something but I will recommend the Bird Island Walking Tour, the Sunset Beach Turtle Watch, Boundary House restaurant in Calabash, the USS North Carolina if you can take a day trip to Wilmington, the Sunset Beach Waterfront Market on Thursdays, and Sunset Beach Trading. Walk to Kindred Spirit mailbox and watch the sunset over the marsh. After writing this, I'm so ready to go back."

  • Quick Golf Trip

"A last minute decision to head to the beach for a couple of days to play golf and get away from the snow. This Mini-Suite was perfect for what we required a clean quiet room to lay or heads between rounds. Rate was great, room was great and we will be back. Quick response from owner and a pleasure to work with."

  • Wonderful Thanksgiving Week

"There was 9 of us, we had plenty of room. There were beach chairs, games, toys, a grill and a kite. Everything you need for a short walk to the beach. We flew the kite 2 days. Lots of golf near by. Becky was great to work with, nice lady. I recommend this rental."
