  • Perfect Home

"My family just returned from a perfect week in this beautiful home. It is comfortably furnished and has a very well-stocked kitchen. The beach access is right across the street and it is close to shopping, restaurants and a totally charming art gallery. I recommend this home to anyone that wants a great beach place with the bonus of an elevator for bring in luggage! Perfect home!"

  • Great Location and Access

"We had a great time over a long weekend. Gathering and sleeping areas were suitable. The views and access to the beach were great. There was plenty of space. The only negative was that the hot tub had not been cleaned recently (maybe skipped with the recent tropical storm)."

  • Secluded treehouse with fabulous views

"We loved the house! It was so peaceful with tons of natural light. The beautiful beach is just a short walk away and wasn't crowded the whole week we were there. Kayaking on the innercoastal was great. The outdoor heated shower was wonderful. The only drawback for some might be the three flights of stairs but we didn't mind at all and the view from the top story was totally worth the climb. If you go, don't miss seeing the stars from the master bedroom balcony. There is very little light pollution and the meteor shower while we were there was a bonus. Emily was very quick to respond to the two requests we made while we were there and she was super easy to work with. We highly recommend this house to anyone who wants to get away to a peaceful retreat in the middle of a beach town!"

  • October is a great time to Visit Surf City

"We visited Surf City in October. The weather was fantastic despite a hurricane that hit nearby. We got a little rain and wind, but once it blew out to sea, we had 6 solid days of just beautiful weather. The house is in a perfect location. It's on a dead end street. Our kids could play out in front of the house without any concerns. The beach access was right across the street and you could walk to the beach in about 90 seconds from the house. I think I counted 155 steps give or take. Shopping, dining, and other interesting things to do were all within walking distance to a very short drive away. The town was still 100% online despite it being the off season. We could get fresh seafood from a nearby dock on the Sound and all of the local businesses were open. The house itself was great. There were 5 adults and 5 kids in our group. The house was spacious and there was enough room for all of us to sleep and the kids had plenty of room to play without interrupting adult time. The kitchen had just about everything we needed except a good chopping knife. We bought one and left it behind for future visitors. Also pay attention to the welcome email, don't forget your towels and even more importantly, pack at least a roll of toilet paper til you can get to the store for provisions! Finally, Steve was a very gracious host. We were a little worried about Hurricane Matthew. Steve was more than willing to be flexible with us if we needed to change our dates. We took the chance and went down anyway, we rode out the storm on our first night and it was gone the next day. This was a great trip. Surf City and the 4 Aces was a winning combo. We had a fantastic time and look forward to visiting the area again in the future!"
