  • Magical month

"Wow, I don't even know where to begin there is so much to share. Truly one of the most memorable and relaxing months I have spent in my lifetime. Every detail of the house was fantastic. From the soft comfortable sheets to the well appointed kitchen that made life and cooking so much fun. Every evening was a celebration of the sun saying goodbye . The sky told a beautiful story that had me wanting more. And the owner was extremely accommodating and was always available to see if there was anything we needed. She had fantastic recommendations For local restaurants and fun things for the kids to do. The kids were immersed in Sea life. Long walks on the beach finding all sorts of exciting and rare shells. I've never seen so many Sandollar's. Looking forward to coming back next year to the same house same time"

  • Relaxing Vacation

"We had a wonderful stay at the Bay House and loved the cottage feel. We enjoyed fishing on the docks and swimming in the bay. The beach was beautiful and is so quiet and peaceful. The beach access is very convenient, being right across the street. I would recommend taking bikes- nice paths and beautiful houses and nature to see. The house has all the kitchen necessities needed and a nice deck area to eat outside. We can't wait to visit again!"

  • Perfectly Peaceful Oasis - HIGHLY recommend

"This is a really lovely, peaceful place to call home for a few days or even a few weeks. It is located in a really nice area with mature trees and super wildlife watching if you like to sit on the great porches and just soak it all in. It's very convenient to get to the beaches, downtown or the university. The house itself is gorgeous - brand new EVERYTHING - and really great furnishings and decor with an owl theme that was just so great. The bedrooms are plenty big - lots of drawer and closet space - the beds are VERY comfortable. The bathrooms are fabulous. The laundry room is great and we loved the porches. The WIFI is excellent and there are very nice tv's with a basic cable package, but bring your firestick or roku (or your own dvds) and you can watch whatever you would like. It worked great for us using our firestick. The owner is wonderful person: so friendly and responsive and I like that she lives on the adjoining property. I wish I could have spent more time with her and her precious pups! She had chocolates on the beds and fruit basket and coffee available for us. It was GREAT! We stayed for 2 weeks as we were moving out of our Wilmington house, moving our daughter into an apartment, and moving out of town so we had a lot of "STUFF" wtih us. Again, the owner could not have been more accommodating and friendly. Can't wait to go back!"

  • Southern hospitality - spectacular home

"The McEachern House was a perfect (I'm not exaggerating) venue for our Girls' Weekend. Upon arrival, the hostess/owner greated us, provided a tour of the home, and graciously answered all our questions. (The landlords are easily accessible if you have any questions during your stay.) This is a beautiful and accommodating home with antiques, modern kitchen, many sitting areas, comfortable beds, plush towels...and so much room. The veranda has the most perfect sitting area to read, visit, even eat a meal as does the back porch. Every little detail was taken care of like snacks in the pantry, beverages in the refrigerator, complimentary wine, coffee, etc. and if that wasn't enough, every morning on the back porch, a tray of fresh juice, fruit and baked goods appeared! We looked forward every morning to seeing what was on that tray! The owners have also put much care into the green spaces around the home, water features, beautiful plants, gazebo and gardens. So peaceful! This home is walking distance to the Cotton Exchange, historical downtown Wilmington, the Riverfront Park, Bellamy Mansion...and some of the best restaurants in Wilmington. It is a quiet, peaceful neighborhood."
