  • Well appointed and homey-chic!

"My husband and I had such a lovely stay at The Cary House and wholeheartedly recommend this home. Centrally located, beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean with all the comforts of home. Spacious, bright and sunny, quiet - I slept like a baby. The owners were incredibly accommodating and made the whole experience so easy. Perfect."

  • Location, location, location.

"This property is close to all the action. It is an easy block or two to the bus that takes you all around UNC campus. It is also only two blocks to some restaurants including Asian food and a French bistro that served dinner ( no breakfast so may want to pre buy something or their is a gas station walkable that may have supplies). Every morning we cooked eggs as the kitchen was well stocked for our four night stay. We spent a day at UNC and was amazed by how beautiful it was and how friendly the people were. It was also an easy drive to explore Weaver Street Market in Carrboro. The second day we toured Duke and NC state which were a 20-25 minute drive away. Our last day we did not have a car and checked the "book" in the townhome. It told us how to get on the walking trail ( two blocks away) that ended two blocks from a mall. We took sidewalks for the last two blocks and went to the movies and ate at Village Burger. It was very convenient. We enjoyed have two bedrooms ( one with a queen the other with a bunk and a single) and a full bath and half bath. Not having to share a room or bath with our two teens is always a plus. The only thing I would mention ( and this I believe is a new VRBO/ HomeAway thing) when booking there is an added cost to your total. Again this is not an InnTown Rentals thing as other rentals we used through this service also tacked on this fee. It is still a great price but ends up costing a little more because of that."

  • Heaven on Earth

"Absolutely LOVED The Old Place! We thoroughly enjoyed entering into a different time, and catching a glimpse of history! There is such a feeling of peace and comfort within the walls of the cabin, that I cannon describe. I stayed up until the 2 a.m. reading the memoirs and taking a tour of the cabin, with all of it's beautiful and historic belongings. I cannot remember a more peaceful time, while on vacation! I would like to add that the town of Mebane is also so warm and welcoming! The historic district was absolutely beautiful, and full of wonderful people. We will definitely be back - only wish we lived closer, so we could enjoy it more often. Thank you, so much, for sharing your family history with all of us! You definitely have a hidden treasure!"

  • Great place to Relax and Refresh

"As a frequent business traveler to the Raleigh – Chapel Hill area, I was looking for an alternative to the local hotels. The Inn is just the spot. It is clean, fresh and quiet, just the place to relax and refresh. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. Each room has an equipped kitchenette, in addition to two standard kitchens on each floor. The living room can accommodate a number of people and it’s nice to have a separate dining area. I only required one room and found that having access to my room directly from outside or through the main house was very nice, as I could come and go without disturbing other guests. The fruit with the continental breakfast was very fresh. I particularly appreciated the athletic center which is located a short distance from the Inn. It is well equipped with an indoor pool and not busy in the evening. Within a short distance I found a nice Italian restaurant, a great coffee shop, a grocery store and liquor store. The commute to work is better than the commute from my regular hotel as I did not find myself sitting in traffic. In addition, it is a place I would stay if attending a weekend game at UNC or Duke. Karen is accessible, responsive and a pleasure to work with. I also found the residents of the community to be helpful and pleasant. I will defiantly return again."
