  • Great place to Relax and Refresh

"As a frequent business traveler to the Raleigh – Chapel Hill area, I was looking for an alternative to the local hotels. The Inn is just the spot. It is clean, fresh and quiet, just the place to relax and refresh. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. Each room has an equipped kitchenette, in addition to two standard kitchens on each floor. The living room can accommodate a number of people and it’s nice to have a separate dining area. I only required one room and found that having access to my room directly from outside or through the main house was very nice, as I could come and go without disturbing other guests. The fruit with the continental breakfast was very fresh. I particularly appreciated the athletic center which is located a short distance from the Inn. It is well equipped with an indoor pool and not busy in the evening. Within a short distance I found a nice Italian restaurant, a great coffee shop, a grocery store and liquor store. The commute to work is better than the commute from my regular hotel as I did not find myself sitting in traffic. In addition, it is a place I would stay if attending a weekend game at UNC or Duke. Karen is accessible, responsive and a pleasure to work with. I also found the residents of the community to be helpful and pleasant. I will defiantly return again."

  • All the Comforts of Home!

"My husband and I stayed in this condo for a month as we explored the Raleigh area as a potential place to retire. We expected that it would have adequate space and all of the amenities we needed like internet, cable TV, and an extra bedroom and bath for any potential guests that would join us. But, what we didn’t expect was how peaceful the setting is. The back deck delighted us when we could enjoy a cocktail or morning coffee while watching the geese play on the pond. This view is fabulous even though the condo is conveniently located near plenty of stores, restaurants and major highways! Mary is an attentive owner without being intrusive and she was very responsive when we called with questions. I highly recommend a stay in this condo if you are looking for a place that is convenient, peaceful, roomy and so much more comfortable than any hotel room you can find!"

  • Heaven on Earth

"Absolutely LOVED The Old Place! We thoroughly enjoyed entering into a different time, and catching a glimpse of history! There is such a feeling of peace and comfort within the walls of the cabin, that I cannon describe. I stayed up until the 2 a.m. reading the memoirs and taking a tour of the cabin, with all of it's beautiful and historic belongings. I cannot remember a more peaceful time, while on vacation! I would like to add that the town of Mebane is also so warm and welcoming! The historic district was absolutely beautiful, and full of wonderful people. We will definitely be back - only wish we lived closer, so we could enjoy it more often. Thank you, so much, for sharing your family history with all of us! You definitely have a hidden treasure!"

  • Great cottage get away

"Our visit to this darling and very clean cottage occurred the week before Christmas. It was very close to Pittsboro so easy to pick up groceries. The kitchen had every possible cooking utensil you might need. The bathroom off of the back porch was a little chilly but probably would have been okay if we turned on the heater! We will be back since it is very close to our son and his family and yet gave us a chance to do our own thing."
