  • VRBO stay at Pinehurst

"Home was very nice and with 4 bedrooms gave everyone in the foursome their own room. Price was right and owner was super helpful with courses, directions and restaurants. Centrally located on Course #3 made getting around extremely easy as well. We will likely be back!"

  • Great place to stay for US Kids Golf World Championship Tournament

"First off, I would like to compliment David, the condo owner, for his very prompt responses when I was originally looking at the property in February for our stay in August. He is very friendly and is true to his word. We had four adults and two children comfortably stay in the condo for 6 nights for the US Kids Golf World Championship. The condo was fabulous! The condo is about 15 minutes from the Pinehurst golf course and about 25 minutes away from the Seven Lakes golf course. There are restaurants and grocery stores minutes away. This is a very clean, comfortable condo in a nice, quiet location that I would highly recommend! If we come back to Pinehurst, I will definitely try to stay here again! Thanks for a wonderful experience for my first time using VRBO!"

  • Serene Lake House

"We had a great time! This lake house is very spacious with lots of windows. Our stay was during a hot spell in August, so we spent most of our time enjoying the dock, but when we were inside, the AC worked GREAT!! I would love to go back in the fall when we could open up the windows and sit out on the screened porch! We enjoyed the natural landscape, watching the deer roam back and forth across the driveway, and watching geese land and swim in an inlet nearby. Children and adults enjoyed swimming in the lake, jumping and diving off the dock, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. (We discovered that catfish LOVE chicken nuggets!) And to top off our stay, we were blessed with a beautiful rainbow with its reflection on the lake. Laura answered all our questions promptly and provided great directions for access codes, etc. We appreciated the sheets and towels being provided, and the beds already made when we got there. The inside was clean and orderly upon arrival, and had there been a broom in the closet, I would have made sure the floors were clean when we left. Thanks for sharing your special lake house for our family get-together!!!"

  • Annual Friend's Trip, March 2016

"Our group of best friends from High School all gather together every year for a reunion. Every year we use vrbo to find a house and this is the first year we opted for the lake rather than the mountains. I don't think we will be heading back to the mountains any time soon! This house is by far our favorite of all the houses we have yet to stay in. We had 5 couples so 10 adults and 7 children (aged from 8 years old to infant). There was so much space for us all that we didn't even use all the beds that were available. Each couple got their own room with the loft available for the older girls to slumber party together. Noise was not an issue in this house, with little ones running around early, the bedrooms downstairs are tucked away from the game room and tv and the walls are so thick, you hear nothing. The kitchen is very spacious and provides everything you need; we cooked all of our meals. Having the extra fridge downstairs provided lots of space for all the food and beverages we brought. There are three full bathrooms in the house, one is in the master bedroom and the other two are located so that anyone could use them, one upstairs and one downstairs. There are also two sets of washer and dryers in the house. The kids stayed on the dock all day fishing as it was still too cold to swim. Life jackets and chairs were available for us to use as well as a two kayaks and a canoe. The water is very deep at the dock, two lost fishing poles couldn't be retrieved by diving daddies. Our gifts to the house :) The driveway to the house was steep and gravel but the road in the neighborhood was perfect for stroller walks and bike rides. The only thing that could have made the trip better would be warmer weather and warmer water so we could boat, swim and enjoy laying out on the dock in the sunshine. We can't wait to return to this house in the summer time! Thank you to the wonderful owners who we feel like we know now through all the family photos in the house. It's been one week and we already got our damage deposit back! Thank you for the memories, Blue Herron Lodge!"
