  • Perfect cabin get away!

"My family of 9 stayed, ages 5-45, and we loved the cabin. It is just close enough to everything while still being tucked away on a mountainside. It is beautifully decorated, has everything we need, comfortable beds (and I am hard to please), and the layout is perfect with three levels. There were only two minor complaints. The downstairs area gets cold even with heat on upstairs and the space heater going. It isn't freezing but definitely colder than other parts of house but is great to snuggle under warm covers. The other complaint is the directions. One set of directions states to veer right at the set of mailboxes. It was extremely dark the night we arrived and following those directions took us to the wrong house. There is no cell service in the area so we had to drive down the mountain to call or message the owner. Even with a quick response it was horrible. Directions are actually pretty simple. Once you turn onto Tobacco Branch Road, stay to LEFT at the group of mailboxes. Steep driveway will be the first driveway on left after the first road to left. Once we got here it was perfect. Cannot wait to come again. Seriously thinking we could make this a tradition."

  • Quiet Retreat

"We stayed in this quaint cabin for a long weekend. It was cozy and absolutely serene! Kitchen had all the cooking utensils we needed and the size of the cabin was great for 3 adults. It is up on a hill with a long winding gravel drive so I was glad we brought our 4x4 truck. I'd recommend AWD or 4wheeldrive. The location is just 10 minutes or so from Bryson City and very close to Fontana Lake and the river. Also, there are window a/c units in this cabin, I was a little worried at first but we were comfortable the whole time. Our favorite part of this cabin was how quiet it was. Absolutely peaceful. Enjoy!"

  • Rest and Relaxation At Last

"Such a nice big rambling house and a great porch, it gave us so much room for privacy and communal areas. The photos caught my eye on the website, but the place was so much more. The property photos and description exceeded my expectations. It was very clean & well maintained. I was afraid it was not going to look that good in person. A lot of attention was given to detail in the decor and amenities. The bed was so comfortable and the porches overlooking the lake. Loved the well equipped kitchen. This was my first experience with a VRBO and based on the success of this trip it won't be the last. I will definitely be recommending this property to anyone I know going to the mountains. Very relaxing."

  • Fantastic Property, Great Location, Very Nice Owner

"We rented this property for a weekend for three families to take our kids to the polar express in Bryson City. The owner was very nice and the house was beautiful. We spent a good portion of the weekend at the house hiking on the trails, and letting the kids play. The house is a great setup as there is a very nice media room downstairs that the kids could play while the adults visited upstairs. Everything in the house worked properly, it was very clean, and tons of amenities. We greatly enjoyed our experience and will stay here next time we visit Bryson City. We highly recommend this property to others!"
