  • Nice, quiet cabin with easy access to the Smokies

"Overall - fantastic place...just wish my fiance and I had more time there. Instead, we were in the park most of our stay...the park entrance is super close to the cabin and this side of the park is fairly quiet with barely any traffic. Check-in/out was really easy with a lock-box at the cabin. Outdoor fireplace and deck furniture was nice - ready to go on arrival with a starter kit (extra wood near the driveway). Couple small downsides (keeping in mind that I'm giving an overall expect a good overall stay)...(1) pool table is way too big for the space - a foosball table or something smaller would fit the space better (2) bedroom is a bit of a squeeze...but really - the rest of the cabin is spacious and the bed is a nice king-size and (3) mattress was a little worn and not super-comfy or of the same quality as I would expect in a nice hotel. Outside of that, of course it's on a hillside with some nature and critters - which, while fun and expected, they can be a little loud in the middle of the night on the roof. Again, all of that considered, I'd give it 4 of 5 stars and well-worth it overall."

  • Exactly As Described

"Cabin was exactly as described, which is always a great thing. It is pet friendly, our two dachshunds loved exploring the fenced in back yard. The cabin is fairly secluded, which is one reason we loved it. Plan on somewhat of a drive to get anywhere (nearest walmart was 40 minutes away, Gatlinburg was almost 90 minutes). Bryson City is amazing, we went on the GSMR train ride on Thursday which will always be one of my coolest memories. Going back to the cabin, it's clean, secluded, exactly as described. A great cabin for a fair price. Would definitely rent again! Thank you, Helen!"

  • Mountain retreat

"Stayed here in August for a few days with some friends. The house has every amenity you could dream of and we enjoyed them all -- hot tub, large kitchen and dining room, porch swing with stunning views of the mountains, and ample deck with comfy chairs for an evening campfire and stargazing. The location is secluded and private, yet close to outdoor adventures, lakes, and towns. It is the perfect gathering spot for large groups, as there are plenty of bedrooms and ample living space. Can't wait to go back!"
