  • Perfect cabin get away!

"My family of 9 stayed, ages 5-45, and we loved the cabin. It is just close enough to everything while still being tucked away on a mountainside. It is beautifully decorated, has everything we need, comfortable beds (and I am hard to please), and the layout is perfect with three levels. There were only two minor complaints. The downstairs area gets cold even with heat on upstairs and the space heater going. It isn't freezing but definitely colder than other parts of house but is great to snuggle under warm covers. The other complaint is the directions. One set of directions states to veer right at the set of mailboxes. It was extremely dark the night we arrived and following those directions took us to the wrong house. There is no cell service in the area so we had to drive down the mountain to call or message the owner. Even with a quick response it was horrible. Directions are actually pretty simple. Once you turn onto Tobacco Branch Road, stay to LEFT at the group of mailboxes. Steep driveway will be the first driveway on left after the first road to left. Once we got here it was perfect. Cannot wait to come again. Seriously thinking we could make this a tradition."

  • Clean, wonderful family vacation home.

"Quiet, clean, well stocked home away from home. The chalet has several nice touches that make it extra special. We were there for New Years, the home was decorated for the holidays and even had pine scented candles and difusers😊 The layout of the home allowed the teenagers to have their own space and the adults to have their space as well. Our boys enjoyed the hot tub every night. Our stay was great, thank you for a memorable birthday in your vacation home."

  • BIG BIG BIG SKY

"This is a large very nice home that accommodates a large family. I must say at first I was apprehensive due to the large price tag for our stay however everything was as advertised. The main floor has three private bedrooms one with a private bathroom and the other two share a bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and very useful. The home has an extra fridge in the laundry that was useful. The up-stairs loft area has another full bathroom and sleeping for as many as 6 people/kids. The decks and balcony areas are very nice and the gas gill was useful. The care takers made themselves available if needed and trucked us in some wood for the outdoor fire pit. The home has a bare basement storage area with a pool table and games for kids. This is an excellent home for a large family to enjoy some together time. Well done Charlie."

  • Beautiful home with neverending views!

"Highly recommended destination for those seeking the solitude of the mountains. The property is situated near the top of a ridge with sunrise-facing views over Lake Fontana. The homes in the community are isolated from each other so the only sounds you'll hear are the birds and critters in the woods. Old logging/Jeep roads are nearby for quiet hikes around the community. The house was perfect for our family of four plus a set of grandparents with my only regret being too short of a stay. Every amenity is there down to the Ingles store card to save you a few dollars on groceries (very considerate touch). Our two sons (age 10 and 6) absolutely loved the "log cabin" bunk bed room with the faux bear rug and moose trophy on the wall. Most enjoyable to them was the secret room up the hidden staircase. Glowing reviews for the clean, cozy master bed/bath, guest bed/bath, kitchen, deck/porch, etc. Again, just wish we had more time to enjoy the house. Drive to Bryson City is easy (about 15 minutes) and once you've driven up the winding road inside the gate to the home, it's not that daunting. If you're looking for peace and quiet with sunrise vistas, this property is tough to beat!"
