"We live in Alabama and make a trip to the Mountains about twice a year! This place is by far the best we have found, it is exactly as described! Janet and John (the owners) are extremely nice and look out for their guest! We always look for a nice place that is easy to get to and close to everything and this cabin was exactly what we wanted! Our two poodles enjoyed the stay! NICE, CLEAN, QUITE, PERFECT! The cost for staying here is extremely low, but it is worth a whole lot more!"

  • So beautiful & homey!

"This cabin is very spacious, immaculate inside & outside. The view of the mountains was breathtaking. We had everything we needed & more. I would recommend staying at this cabin if you want a mountain home experience, but close enough to town for convience."

  • Awesome little secuded in the hills!

"Our family stayed at this cabin this week. When we arrived, the cabin was clean. They provide everything you could possible need, fresh linens, fully stocked kitchen with newer appliances (including a dishwasher), and a mini fridge sink, microwave, and toaster in the downstairs master suite! The beds were VERY COMFORTABLE! They might have been the best beds we have ever slept in away from home! They provide bird food and corn for feeders located around the decks, and it was interesting watching the birds and squirrels in the morning! The cabin is high enough up the hill to feel very private, even though there are other cabins nearby. We could only see one, through the trees below us, and we couldn't see much, just a little light and the color of a car parked there. We brought our motorcycle to take a few rides while we were here. There is enough room to trailer in, as long as your trailer is small, and you can unhook and walk it around to turn around (there isn't quite enough room to turn it around at the cabin). Yes, the road up is steep, and perhaps a little scary the first time, but it's not horrible. I was a little worried about riding the bike down and up the road to the cabin, but my worries were unfounded. I think it was easier than driving the truck up. We only rode a few hundred miles through the mountains (our teenage kids were with us, so we didn't think it fair to leave them for long), but this is some beautiful riding! I can't imagine much prettier except for some of those bucket list place like the Pacific Coast Highway. We were looking for a place, away from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but close enough to the Smoky Mountains National Park to make day trips. This location perfectly fit the bill. We took day trips into the park to Cades Cove, Clingmans Dome, and many other parts of the park. We grabbed meals in Townsend, Bryson City, and Cherokee, and was happy with each meal (check tripadvisor for the highest ranked places). We also prepared several meals in the cabin, especially breakfasts, but also used the provided grill to prepare steaks and burgers! If were return to the Smokies, we would definitely book this place again."

  • Happy Thanksgiving

"We stayed here during our "destination" Thanksgiving and everything turned out perfectly. The house , the deck and the grounds were clean and neat. The kitchen is well furnished in terms of dishes (but you need a new can opener that one's on its last turn). The home is warm and cozy and there are plenty of extra blankets. Despite being late fall we spent a lot of time in the hot tub, or cuddled in blankets drinking coffee on the deck. We took a very short drive to Nantahala Nat forest area and went hiking as well. There is a chiminea as well for your use. We had a glitch with the wi-fi, but sent a text and the owner was on it, and had the solution in no time. They only drawback was that someone left food in the drain and we fought fruit flies. . .arrgh! However we are hoping to stay again early summer. This was well worth the $$ and the drive."
