  • What A View!

"The view is definitely the highlight of this cabin! It's absolutely gorgeous and is viewable from a huge deck or the windows in the living area/kitchen. The deck has gates that enclose it making it great for pets! There's a small convenience store a few minutes away but if you need an actual grocery store you'll need to drive about 15/20 minutes. It's a pretty drive though that takes you right past the Stecoah Gap. If you go a few minutes beyond the grocery store you'll find great fishing and views at Massey Branch pier. The kitchen is stocked with so many basics, a bunch of spices, foil/baggies, Tupperware and condiments! Overall this a beautiful little gem that's ideal for people looking to lay back and take a breather from everyday life! We will definitely be back!"

  • A good and pleasant mixed bag...

"The cabin was nice, cozy, beds were comfortable and it was in a good location close to town but, not too close. Very private location. The driveway leading up to the cabin was very steep and only partially paved. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. Tvs, satellite was in good working order and there was plenty of fire wood available. A couple of negatives: while the cabin was clean, there were some areas that could use a little more cleaning. For example, there was dust on almost every piece of decor in the bathrooms, spider webs around the light fixtures in both bathrooms and the door frame in the bathroom downstairs. The hot pool does not get very hot. It was also not filled when we arrived and it takes about 4 hours to fill and heat up. Who has time to wait that long when you are only there for two nights?! The hottest we could get it was about 87 degrees. The water pressure is also lame. You can't fill the hot tub and run water in the house at the same time. Even when you are not filling the hot tub, the water pressure in the shower/sinks is still very low. There was also some kind of alarm, as best as we could tell-in the kitchen cupboard, above the fridge, which was locked, that went off every morning around 6am. This is pretty annoying when you have little kids and specially when you are on vacation, trying to catch up on sleep. My biggest pet peeve with the cabin was the fact that we had to take our own trash with us! That's right, the GUEST is required to take all trash with them and dump it in some dumpsters down the road. Keep in mind we did pay a cleaning fee, so I'm not sure what that was for because we were also limited to the use of one towel each. If we had used more than one towel, the GUEST, has to launder them before leaving. Check out is also too early-10am. Most places it's 11am. Cabin owner was nice and quick to respond."

  • New cabin with spectacular view

"The cabin is new and clean with a spectacular long distance view of mountains. Located in a well maintained gated community, but far enough from neighbors for privacy. Hosts were easy to work with through VRBO. 20 minute drive to Bryson City. As stated before, the down stairs beds are a little uncomfortable and short if you are 6' or taller, but did not spend much time there. Master bedroom was very nice with large bathroom. Definitely would return for another visit."
