  • Awesome view

"This is the best and most comfortable cabin ever. The views and privacy are second to none. Very well equipped and fun, no doubt were coming back."

  • We stayed for WCU graduation, LOVED IT!!

"We would stay here again for sure. The house is a little outdated, BUT the views, the brand new sun room, the location is amazing. Very close to all amenities. The hill is a little narrow getting up there, but that's the sacrifice you make for amazing views!"

  • Lovely small cabin in the woods - but challenging access!

"I enjoyed my two days' stay at this lovely mountain cabin. But beware the steep, rutted gravel roads on the way! I managed it fine in my Jetta Sportswagen, but would not have wanted to try the rutted gravel roads in a low-lying sports car. I was nervous about the sharp gravel cutting my tires, which would not have been a happy situation on such steeply winding roads. The cabin itself was comfortable and well-equipped. It's basically a studio with one large room and a loft with very low ceilings and just enough room for a queen-size mattress. Not suitable for very small children -- ladder access is challenging and small children could fall from the loft area. The small kitchen is nicely designed for efficiency. It includes a dishwasher, smallish refrigerator, small microwave, and gas range. (No garbage disposal, but that was not a problem for me.) The bathroom was spacious with lots of drawers and a small shower (no tub). The bathroom fan made lots of noise and probably needs maintenance or replacement. The queen-size bed in the main room was fine, but not particularly comfortable. The main room also had a sofa with a pull-out bed, along with a small flat-screen television and DVD player on the wall across the room. Quite adequate for my needs. I enjoyed the small, private covered porch facing a pretty mountain/woods view. The large open deck in the photos is just below the owners' house, which looks over the deck -- fine for family picnics, but not good if you want privacy. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The cabin would be fine for a couple and one or two children old enough to navigate the ladder up to the loft without danger. The cabin sits atop a single-car garage and a carport, but there is very minimal space to safely turn a vehicle around to exit from the very steep, deeply rutted gravel drive (which needs attention). I also found the lighting inadequate in the bathroom and kitchen area. (Adding strip lighting above the range would be a big plus.)"

  • A Comfortable Vacatopm

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A great place to relax because the location was good, the layout of the house was good, and the property was clean and well-maintained. Definitely I would go back to this property for vacation and I would recommend it to a friend. I enjoyed Smokey Mountain Railroad and Cherokee and some of the Blue Ridge Parkway. I had the pleasure of seeing a herd of elk! I enjoyed Butts on the Creek and Fat Buddy's in Waynesville and always Joey's Pancake House in Maggie Valley."
