  • Spectacular views and a comfortable stay

"This is a nice cabin with a spectacular view, offering everything needed for a comfortable vacation. The owner is very careful to provide all the necessary information to make this a great experience. There is a relatively challenging climb to the cabin on a one lane-wide asphalt road. We are glad that there was no snow and ice, otherwise that could have been a problem. Few minor issues: The stair carpet leading to the basement game room was not vacuumed and had a bad smell. The provided blankets and linens need to be aerated once in a while. The potential issues with shower/flushing restrictions for larger parties should be disclosed beforehand. We had no problems. These minor issues were not so important though to make this less than a 5 star experience."

  • Everything that was advertised!

"My family and I had a wonderful 6 day stay in Bryson City, NC and enjoyed all the surrounding mountains had to offer. This residence delivered all that was advertised. One major suggestion would be that it should be clear - and perhaps it was and I overlooked it - that it requires an AWD/4WD vehicle to access it. The slop/grade of the final access road/driveway is tremendous and can be very slippery."

  • Beautiful Home in Secluded Area

"I recently stayed at this cabin with my three adult children and one more guest and we had a great time! The cabin was exactly as described and had everything we needed plus more. The kids really enjoyed the wide selection of board games that was there. The master bedroom downstairs was perfect for me and my younger son. The internet worked perfectly and we had cell service which was important to my children. We went down the Nantahala River one day and went Horseback riding at Smokemont another day. It was a very nice trip, but it was over way too fast. Also, the downtown Bryson City area is just a few miles away and is very cute and quaint. The cabin was everything we expected, and the hot tub was perfect! The only thing I didn't know ahead of time was there is a small spiral staircase to get downstairs to the master which is a little tricky because I have a bad ankle, but it was manageable. The master bedroom bathtub is also just the perfect size and I would love to have it at my home! I really enjoyed my stay at Bear Trax."

  • eco friendly cabin and peaceful rest

"I wish I could have spent more time at this lovely property. The eco cabin was spacious, clean, and homey. I slept soundly and felt well rested and relaxed during my stay. What a perfect location - the drive through the Smoky Mountain National Park was incredible."
