  • Great location nestled in between a mountain and rolling River. Would highly recommend.

"Clean, cute and great location. My 10 and 12 year old loved to explore the area. Games were a hit, too."

  • Loved the cabin, even in the cold!

"My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs in the winter... the home does not have central heating, but with enough layers, the heaters and wood stove available were plenty to keep us comfortable. There is wifi, but no television - we enjoyed the time being mostly unplugged, playing games, reading, hiking, and eating in local restaurants. We loved the Sweet Onion in downtown Waynesville! Ralph was super easy to work with, and the local manager checked in on us, as well. We hope to be back to experience the lodge in another season!"

  • Wonderful stay

"Cabin has great location. Halfway between Waynesville and Blue Ridge Parkway, and easy access to Asheville. Plenty of privacy tucked away in the woods. Excellent bird watching. Access road from Hwy. 276 is somewhat steep, so care must be taken driving, especially at night. Cabin has all the comforts of home, and owner was very helpful. Would recommend for a couple, or a couple with one child. The two bedrooms are snug, but comfy."

  • Family reunion at heaven on earth!

"First, the pictures do not do this place justice. It is beyond perfect. We had a large family gathering for Christmas week - four couples and a gaggle of children. There are two separate sitting rooms, each large enough to accommodate the entire party. The dining / keeping/ TV/ kitchen area are where most of the time inside was spent. Board games and card games at the dining table. College football on the TV. Fire in the Franklin Stove. The smell of something always cooking. Or a fire in the oversized fireplace in the sitting room with some playing billiards with others throwing darts while reading and talking with family. Second, the outdoor activities were fun and plenty. Taking the kids fishing at the ponds, visiting the horse, walking the barn/stable, sitting by the fire in the fire pit, cooking trout on the well equipped outdoor kitchen, hiking the trails, or walking the stream provided plenty of activities to keep everyone occupied. The weather was good most of the stay, so all the outdoor activities were possible. The property is beautiful. It is well maintained and the the house is stocked. Linens, dishes, appliances, etc. are all provided. There was plenty of firewood for the fire pit and two fire places. The bedrooms and bathrooms were more than adequate for our group. We love going to the NC mountains. We rarely get to all go together at the same time. This was perfect and I would highly recommend staying!"
