  • Beautiful Mountain Retreat

"Great mountain home inside and out. We had an amazing time. Our family enjoyed swimming in Bear Lake, shopping, sightseeing, and relaxing at the house. Close to everything but feels like you are deep in mountain seclusion. Hope to return one day."

  • Just perfect!

"Just perfect for our week in the mountains again this summer! Great place for family of 4-- easy walk to Fairfield lake for swimming, diving, paddleboarding, fishing etc.... Close to Rec center with pools, gym, putt-putt, games..only $2 a day per adult. Condo was wonderfully appointed and updated with hardwoods, beautiful kitchen, deck with grill, fireplace... it's an end unit too. Perfect vaycay for hiking, horses, lake fun and good food and beer. Lee was very good at responding to questions and very chill to deal with. A++"

  • Breath-taking Vistas; Incredible Serenity!!

"This beautiful home is surrounded by breath-taking vistas to inspire awe and incredible serenity to soothe the soul. The home is situated in a beautiful mountain community in Cashiers, NC. Cashiers and the surrounding communities offer amazing outdoor activities (hiking, zip-lining, white water rafting, sight-seeing and shopping )as well as an array of restaurants to please any palate. The home is beautifully appointed, comfortable and well-stocked with all the amenities. Mr. Davis, the owner, was a gem to work with! He was very responsive, helpful and hospitable. My family and I shared a wonderful, relaxing and memorable vacation and definitely plan to return to this very spacious, family-friendly home! I would highly recommend this home to my friends and family."

  • Secluded, Cozy and Adventurous

"I recently stayed here with my husband, aunt, disabled mother and dog. We loved it! The photos don't do it justice. As others have mentioned, the road to the cottage is a little tricky to navigate in the dark. Although we didn't have cell service, the maps app could still track us which helped when we took a wrong turn halfway up. Weaving through the mountains was a fun adventure I wouldn't want to do without. Although my mother couldn't leave the house, she loved the sound of the waterfall from the porch. The highlight really was the waterfall. We took the steep and slippery (with leaves and mud) climb down the mountain. It didn't take long and the ropes tied to the trees were super helpful. Our dog continued to race up and down the hill as we were climbing - she was in heaven! The kitchen is well stocked, a few games in the cabinet, cute decor and spacious rooms. The trip up the mountain takes a bit of time but there's so much beauty to look at along the way. It's also close to a few day-trip waterfall explorations in nearby cities. If there was anything to be disgruntled it was that we were accompanied by a little creature at 3am during our stay. While it did keep my aunt up the rest of the night with the bedroom light on I still feel this place deserves 5 stars. Don't be a wuss...it's a cabin, in the mountains, in fall. If she had been a sound sleeper, we would have never known."
