  • Wonderful July Stay at 4500 feet

"Our second time visiting Young at Heart. The views are breathtaking, the cabin clean and inviting and the owner solicitous and concerned about our experience. A wonderful location to get away from the heat and find some tranquility."

  • Perfection

"This home was beautiful and huge. The photographs definitely do not do it justice at all. The master bedroom is enormous and all the other bedrooms are quite large as well. The outdoor spaces are beautiful and relaxing and the view is to die for. We stay in the Cashiers area every summer and have never stayed in a house so close to town that feels so far apart. Restaurants, grocery, coffee shop are all a few easy miles away. We spent every evening with the kids at Cashiers Sliding Rock which is just up the road. It was really wonderful and I cannot recommend it highly enough."

  • For the price the property was great; new furnishings and great access to the lake.

"We loved this vacation. The property had two stories, which I hadn't realized from pics. Internet access didn't work for us but we were there to be outside so we didn't mind. It is a short walk down to a fun lake with a beach and boat/kayak rentals. Our kids--8 and 10--also really enjoyed the amenities. The "resort" isn't luxurious but for little kids, it was great. They loved the pool, the putt putt course, and the game room with ping pong, pool, air hockey, etc. There were even buckets of dirt and a sluice for "mining" you could buy and mine for gems. The access to amenities costs $2 per day for adults--under 14 are free. Lee was excellent to work with and was willing to let us come early and check out late. He responded immediately to all questions. We loved hiking and swimming in falls in Gorges Park (only 10+ minutes away)and enjoyed driving to other waterfalls in the area. I didn't give it five stars because no internet, some of the kitchen utensils/pots were dirty, and it wasn't completely amazing. However, the property obviously had been updated and it was great. We appreciated the two beds in the second bedroom so kids could have their own--beds were comfortable and the property actually looks nicer than it does in the pics. For the price it was excellent. We will be coming back to this area."
