  • Great getaway location

"We were fortunate to book a stay through iTravex for this great mountain cabin. It is charming and comfortable, secluded but within 10 minutes of the town center of Cashiers. Wi-fi is included. It is convenient to the most amazing waterfalls east of the Mississippi. We wanted for nothing but more time there. Thanks!!"

  • Quiet cabin away from it all!

"We only wish we'd had more time at the cabin! It was quiet, VERY clean and well maintained, and stocked with everything we needed. At night, the back porch with the tiny lights and the the sound of the waterfall was magical. If it had been a little colder we would have lit a bonfire! The only thing better than the porch was the beds, which were VERY comfortable - a rarity with cabin rentals. Like others, we recommend you buy your groceries, etc. beforehand as the drive into town is long enough to deter short errands. However, every drive we took was beautiful, and hiking trails abound. Also, the easy access to both Cashiers and Highlands is great. We had a wonderful Sunday brunch at Cornucopia with its lovely porch in Cashiers before we left the mountains - a perfect end to a great weekend. We'll be back!"

  • Secluded, Cozy and Adventurous

"I recently stayed here with my husband, aunt, disabled mother and dog. We loved it! The photos don't do it justice. As others have mentioned, the road to the cottage is a little tricky to navigate in the dark. Although we didn't have cell service, the maps app could still track us which helped when we took a wrong turn halfway up. Weaving through the mountains was a fun adventure I wouldn't want to do without. Although my mother couldn't leave the house, she loved the sound of the waterfall from the porch. The highlight really was the waterfall. We took the steep and slippery (with leaves and mud) climb down the mountain. It didn't take long and the ropes tied to the trees were super helpful. Our dog continued to race up and down the hill as we were climbing - she was in heaven! The kitchen is well stocked, a few games in the cabinet, cute decor and spacious rooms. The trip up the mountain takes a bit of time but there's so much beauty to look at along the way. It's also close to a few day-trip waterfall explorations in nearby cities. If there was anything to be disgruntled it was that we were accompanied by a little creature at 3am during our stay. While it did keep my aunt up the rest of the night with the bedroom light on I still feel this place deserves 5 stars. Don't be a wuss...it's a cabin, in the mountains, in fall. If she had been a sound sleeper, we would have never known."

  • Great condo located close to the amenities

"I have to say the accommodations exceeded our expectations and was very comfortable and larger than expected. The location is very close to the Lake Club and was ideal for our family to take advantage of the boating, pool and dining. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony with views of the lake having our coffee in the mornings . We were unable to explore some of the numerous hiking trails or golf course but will save for next time. As mentioned in other reviews, it is not quickly accessible to the main road so plan on bringing enough provisions for your stay if you don't want to eat at the Lake Club for every meal. Overall, I would give high marks to Loris condo and the property in general and is a great place to really getaway while having plenty of activities to choose from if you wish."
