"Everything was exactly as advertised! A very nice home with all anemities one needs. The manager was especially helpful. We found a tree had fallen in the road before the entrance to the property, we were able to move it enough to get our car to the driveway. I called the property manager on Monday and they sent a landscaper to remove the tree and he also blew away accumulated leaves. Our Maltese enjoyed his trips down the road each day. I recommend this property unconditional!"

  • Good Stay

"Had a good stay from August 9 to 16. Randy maintains several cabins that are located on a quiet road off not far from the main street. This cabin is C10. The cottages line the street (both sides) but are spaced farther apart than most new subdivisions. It is a quiet location. There is a large lawn behind the cabins on this side of the street. Cabin C10 is the last one of the group so it has only one visible neighbor beside it. The cabin itself is well outfitted for cooking as it has a stove, microwave and full-sized refrigerator. There is no barbeque as we were told that town fire restrictions are in place. It wasn't an issue as we took a drive to the pleasant Greenbrier picnic area in the NP and cooked some of our meat there. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The full bathroom is off of the downstairs bedroom. It must be accessed via the bedroom. A half bathroom is upstairs off another bedroom. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We were provided with lots of bathroom and kitchen linens. The furniture in the living room has been updated since this ad's photos were taken. It was very hot and humid while we were in the area and the air conditioning worked well. The DVD player wasn't hooked up when we arrived. My husband worked with it and we used it although it was a little 'finicky' some times. Not a huge issue. There is a hot tub on the deck but we didn't use it. The cabin is located on the eastern side of town so it is just a few minutes drive to the Food Lion grocery store. If you are up before 8 a.m. and enjoy birds, I found that there were several species in the trees outside the cabin. The cabin has a nice front porch. We had two bear sightings while in the neighborhood. One morning, a bear strolled by the cabin and disappeared into the trees that line the backyard. Another morning, we were leaving for the day and stopped the car to watch a bear cross the road from one front yard to another. Overall, it was a comfortable stay in a good location. We would recommend this property."

  • We will be back

"Spent a long weekend with my husband for my 50th birthday. Close to action yet tucked away from the crowd. The cabin was very clean and had every modern convenience and we were happy to spend the majority of our time outside on the porch. We have recommended to all of our friends and intend to come back again and again!"

  • Large cabin in a very secluded location

"The cabin had everything we needed for everyone's different tastes. Everyone had a great time during our stay! I did notice while playing a game of pool, though, that several of the pockets are separating from the table due to wear and tear. The fold out bed on the ground floor has a problem folding back up and one of the metal supports catches the floor. It looks like several old gouges are in the floor under it from past guests having the same problem. Also, the hot tub cover has a sag in the center causing it to dip into the water when on the tub. These are by no means complaints, but more to just bring it to your attention. Otherwise, we loved it and would definitely stay here again!"
