  • Fourth of July Trip

"Recently visited Wildflower Cabin 3. First let me say the cabin is beautiful, secluded and kept very clean. And, Jeanette was a pleasure to work with. However, there are a few things that made the stay less than perfect. First, the air conditioning was not working on the top level. Although Jeanette was quick to get us a window air conditioner, it was quite uncomfortable for the room on the adjacent side of the home. Second, the day we arrived we found out that the bathrooms were not working at the clubhouse. And, it turns out, that they did not work for our entire stay. Third, the pictures on VRBO show a firepit on the property, which is correct. What they neglect to tell you is that you have to share it with the folks in Cabin #2, since it is in the middle of the two homes. Never got a chance to use it. Lastly, when we took our first shower in the Master Bath on the main floor, it leaked into the downstairs bedroom onto the night table where one of our guests had an ipad. For these reasons, I cant give it a 5-star rating."

  • Relaxing atmosphere, great views and close to lots of things to do!

"We just returned from a week in the cabin and was more than pleased with everything. The photos on the website are just what you see when you arrive. The cabin is comfortable, clean, well maintained and everything you needed was there and ready. Sunsets are outstanding and the mountain views couldn't be better from the back deck. The cabin is convenient to everything in the area. We visited Biltmore Estates in Ashville, took a ride on the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad in Bryson City, visited a few sites in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, spent time in Cherokee at the Cherokee Indian Museum and Village, did a little gem mining and spent time enjoying the river and area around the Nantahala Outdoor Center. There was more to do, but we also enjoyed spending quiet time at the cabin enjoying the views and nature around us. We even watched from the rear deck as both deer and lots of wild turkey strolled through the back yard. Some of the trees started changing color and we could see fall coming with the red, orange and yellow colors scattered throughout the mountains while we drove around. The only negative in our time there was that the weather was still warmer than we had hoped, which unfortunately was out of Dawn's and Bob's control or else I'm sure they would have sent us that cooler weather we wanted! Overall we had a great time in a very nice cabin and we can certainly recommend it to everyone."

  • Breathtaking!

"The cabin and the view is beyond description. Breathtaking is the only word that comes to mind. We also enjoyed our game of ping pong. If you love mountain views, this is the place for you."

  • Wonderful Weekend Stay

"What a wonderful spot for our Anniversary Weekend Getaway! Cozy is a great word for this cabin. It was just the perfect size for the two of us. It was very clean and it had everything that we needed (except we forgot to bring bar soap so had to pick that up when we were in town). It was quite cool outside but the little heater that was provided worked great! It is in a very quiet, remote area but not too far to get back into Franklin! We would definitely stay here again!"
