"Our entire experience, from booking to receiving a great "Thank You" from the owners, was awesome. I can say right away that, although I would have loved some holiday snow for our stay, I'm glad it didn't snow -the property is located on a really steep road/driveway, and driving to the various towns would have been tough.
The property was super spacious, beautifully decorated, SUPER CLEAN, very organized, and close to awesome waterfalls. The master bedroom was just great - great shower, great bedding, super nice architecture, and just super clean. One of the best things - everything you need for preparing nice meals is there, including muffin tins, all sorts of utensils, even a big crockpot. You really don't need any of that stuff if you visit - it's all there. One other surprise - kids plates, forks, cups, etc. This was really unexpected and super welcome.
We were really close to some cool little towns (Cashiers/Highlands) - if you want to get out and eat/drink/shop, plan on a 20 minute drive if you aren't use to mountain driving. I would also recommend going and seeing all of the surrounding waterfalls, which is also a close drive and definitely worth mustering all of your family to go see. One important note - write down the directions or save them offline, as we frequently were in places w. no service, making navigation difficult if you plan on relying on your GPS.
All and all, wonderful place, and would be literally PERFECT in the summer, as everything is right there - boats (and life preservers), fire pit, fishing rods, etc. And SUPER beautiful!!!! Go see the waterfall right down the road - awesome.
Ben and Stacy were very communicative and helpful.
Do it. Book this spot. Totally convenient and will make for amazing memories.
PS - Don't go to Sapphire Brewery - that was the low point of our trip."
